* THOUGHT PROVOKING: Excellent article by Yury Soldatov: The current sad predicament of the MP's captive, its enslaved ROCOR/MP, and its financial and other material big losses to the MP and Putin, etc.
Note: Yury Soldatov has lived for many years here in the US, and so he has a broad knowledge and perspective on many subjects, and he is loyal to our ROCA under our Vladyka Metropolitan Agafangel, and he is staunchly anti-MP and anti-communist. He was one who rejected that lamentable 2007 betrayal.
Thus too, he is a living witness to the many bad fruits here, of that sad 2007 betrayal of a large part of the old ROCOR to the MP and Putin's schemes.
He speaks the truth.

Both the clergy and the ROCOR believers who joined the Moscow Patriarchate in 2007 are concerned about the further fate, financial and otherwise, of the metropolia/ROCOR/MP in connection with its difficult material situation.
После унии доходы сократились, в то время как расходы на необходимые починки, администрацию, печатные издания и продолжение миссионерской деятельности, растут.
After the 2007 union, the incomes in ROCOR/MP fell, while the expenses for the necessary repairs, administration, publications and the continuation of missionary activity, have been ... growing larger.

Верующих волнуют слухи о том, что митрополия РПЦЗ хоть и стала частью Московской патриархии, но в финансовом отношении более не располагает, как это было в прошлом, средствами для поддержания своих нужд.
ROCOR/MP believers are worried by rumors that the Metropolitanate of the ROCA-MP, although it became part of the Moscow Patriarchate, financially no longer has, as it had in the past, the means to support its needs.
Также возмущают верующих слухи о переводе фондов из Заграничных финансовых учреждений в РФ.
Also, the rumors about the 'transfer of funds' [sucking off of its monies] from foreign financial institutions [i.e. from the 'foreign' ROCOR/MP] to the Russian Federation, are disturbing.

Many are interested learning, who exactly is guilty of this situation?, which causes the ROCOR/MP flock to distrust its clergy.
Как священники, так и верующие на приходах, с недавнего времени узнают, как и кем финансовые сбережения были переданы в РФ, по какой причине это произошло, кто принимал решения, а также узнают, что воспользоваться или вернуть вложенные сбережения в РФ пока невозможно.
Both priests and believers in the parishes have recently learned how and by whom financial savings were transferred to the Russian Federation, for what reason it happened, who made the decisions, and also they have learned that it is not yet possible to make use of for themselves, or return to them, the transferred savings which have been sent to Russia.
О размере переведенных в РФ сумм имеются различные сведения, но только нескольким членам Синода и казначеям достоверно известно, сколько было вложено РПЦЗ в акции, которые теперь оказалось не так легко реализовать, как это можно было бы сделать в США, где, в крайнем случае, возможно вернуть назад средства хоть и с частичной финансовой потерей.
The amount of information publically available about what has been transferred to the Russian Federation is a 'different' story, but only a few members of the ROCOR/MP Synod and its treasurers, know for sure, how much ROCOR/MP had invested in the shares, which now are not as easy to implement/gain access to by them, as it could have been done within the US, where, in extreme cases, it is still possible to be returned/recover the funds back, albeit with a partial financial loss.

Having shares and using them as property/collateral, one can make loans from financial institutions, with a extra payment of additional interest.
По недостатку материальных средств во многих местах Зарубежной митрополии затруднения с необходимыми реставрационными работами в монастырях, соборах и храмах, а также нет средств для подготовки духовенства.
Due to a lack of material resources in many places of the Foreign Metropolia,-ROCOR/MP, difficulties with the necessary restoration work/the normal ongoing required physical building-upkeep in monasteries, cathedrals and temples, and also there at no financial resources for the preparation/training of the clergy.

The foreign metropolis/the ROCOR/MP is the smallest within/under the Moscow Patriarchate and now the Synod of the MP does not pay much attention to it and it does not care about its problems, since it is not in the interests of the Kremlin's pro-communist authorities who are more eager to introduce their agents into other countries.... than to help 'foreigners'-ROCOR/MP to save their souls and to preserve their storage of their spiritual and cultural values of old pre-communist Historical Russia.

Treacherously, she-ROCOR/MP handed over to the pro-Soviet regime all her documentation and archives.

They should not listen to the deliberately spread-communist propaganda rumors, about the inevitable collapse of the capitalist countries, as the deceased Vladimir Ilyich falsely prophesied, and now his faithful follower in his communist plans, Vladimir Vladimirovich, who two years ago in an interview stated that he, like 20 million others, was in the Communist Party and the KBG, himself being a convinced communist, and that he did not destroy his party membership card.

So, as we see from this and other public confessions of the "leader" - he, [Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin] as before, remains loyal and true to his communist ideas and to his faith in the triumph of communism throughout the world, and he does everything he can do possible, for this cause, including undermining faith in the governments of other countries which are not in sphere/under the influence/domination of his Russian Federation.
Поэтому можно подозревать о том, что панические слухи о финансовом и политическом положении в Западных странах не настолько плачевны, как их описывают некоторые специалисты и корреспонденты, подвергающиеся ложным влияниям и слухам.
Therefore, one can suspect that panic-creating rumors about the possible financial and political situation in Western countries, are not so deplorable [in reality] as they are described by some experts and correspondents who are exposed to such false disaster-influences and rumors.
В том, что он и другие коммунисты приняли большое участие в деле соблазнения духовенства РПЦЗ в унию с МП, нет у зарубежников сомнений, также как и о целях, ради которых это было сделано, и чего они хотят добиться в будущем.
The fact that he [Vladimir V. Putin] and the other Communists took a big part in the seduction of the ROCOR clergy into that 2007 union with the MP, cannot leave any doubts among the foreigners about that seduction/betrayal...of the ..[Diaspora Russians] as well as regarding the truthful purposes for which this was accomplished, and what they [the current neo-communist rulers of Russia] wish to achieve in the future.
А поскольку их работа направлена против христианства, то верующим только один путь – сплотиться вокруг Церкви Христовой для борьбы со злом.
And since their work is directed against Christianity, the only way for believers is to rally around the Church of Christ to fight evil.
Что касается не примкнувшим к МП православным, то им не следует прислушиваться ко всяким слухам, а молиться Спасителю о возвращении в РПЦЗ верующих, соблазненных духовными руководителями в 2005 году и продолжать заботиться о своем спасении в Церкви, которая хоть и не такая многочисленная по своему составу как прежде, и о которой, по диавольскому наущению, также как это делалось прежде Кремлем, распространяют слухи о прекращении ее спасительной деятельности.
As for other Orthodox anti-MP believers, [those in the various 'fragment' Russian diaspora 'fragments'...or those inside of the Russian Federation too] ] who will not join the MP,or wish to flee from it, they should not listen to any rumors, but rather pray to the Savior for the return to the ROCA of believers seduced by their spiritual leaders in 2005 and who continue to take care of /supervise their salvation, instead, but to move rather to the Church [ROCOR] which although it is not so numerous in membership as compared to its composition previously, and which, according to the diabolical precept, as well as it was done before by the Kremlin, which has spread rumors about the cessation of its salvific activity.(i.e. The MP claims that only it is THE sole canonical Russian Church and thus it alone has grace/is salvific, while all those others, such as all ROCOR-'fragments' are schismatics and without grace and non-Orthodox)
РПЦЗ по всему миру продолжает духовно окормлять свою паству, поскольку верующие знают, что Церковь Христова будет в этом мире до скончания века, т.е.
ROCOR throughout the world continues to spiritually nourish its flock, because believers know that the Church of Christ will be in this world until the end of the age, that is,.....

Для истинно православных не важно обладание имуществом и финансовыми сбережениями, для них не важно, вернет ли коммунистический Кремль переданные под его контроль материальные средства, в каком состоянии будет в РФ финансовый рынок и какая будет в Нью-Йорке и других биржах цена на акции.
For true Orthodox, the possession of property and financial savings is not important, it does not matter to them whether the communist Kremlin will return material assets transferred under its orders and to its control, or in what condition the financial market will be in Russia and what will be the price of shares in New York or other world-wide stock exchanges.
Для верующих важно быть в Истинной Церкви, в Которой учат тому, чему учил Спаситель, Его Апостолы и затем Святители в Катакомбной Церкви в СССР и Зарубежной Руси со времени Св. Патриарха Тихона.
It is important for believers to be in the True Church, in which they teach that which the Saviour taught, His Apostles and then the Saints in the Catacomb Church in the USSR and in Foreign Russia/ROCOR, since the time of St. Patriarch Tikhon.
Происходит процесс окончательного переваривания добычи - МП поглотило РПЦЗ-МП со всем, что у неё было, а кто там остался из старой РПЦЗ - без имущества жить не могут, как без воздуха.
There is the process of the final digestion of what was extraction - what the MP has already absorbed from the ROCA-MP- with everything that it had, and from whoever remained there from the old ROCA - those who can not live without property, as if, without air.
Призывать их к выходу из МП, это всё равно, что призывать кролика вылезти из желудка удава.
Calling to them now, to exit from the MP, [as in this article] is like calling a rabbit to return from/come out of, the stomach of a boa constrictor which has already swallowed it.
Всё кончено - кролик уже стал плотью удава.
It's over/too late!, - the rabbit has already been digested and has become a part of the body/flesh of the boa constrictor!

Fr. Victor Dobroff's response comment to this article by Yury Soldatov:
Когда принимался Акт Канонического Единства, мы указывали на опасную особенность этого документа, но нас не желали даже услышать, что Акт этот не предусматривает, в случае даже обоснованного, по каноническим или догматическим причинам, механизма выхода РПЦЗ из состояния единства с МП.
When the 2007 'Canonical Unity Act' was adopted, I pointed out to all, the dangerous feature of this document, but there was no one then, even willing to hear my warning-that this Union-Act doesnot provide, in the case of even a reasoned, [even for canonical or dogmatic reasons], an exit/leaving-mechanism for ROCOR, to depart from that state/condition- of unity with the MP.
Таким образом возвратиться в независимое состояние от МП для РПЦЗ(МП) не возможно.
Thus, it is just not possible, now, to return to an independent state or status, from the MP, for ROCOR-MP.
Возможный для них выход из структуры МП- это индивидуальный выход из РПЦЗ(МП) и присоединение к РПЦЗ, которая только и сохранилась под омофором Митр.Агафангела.
Thus, the only possible exit/departure from the structure/organization of the MP, is solely that of an individual person's exit, from the ROCOR- MP, and his then accession/joining himself to ROCA, which church has only survived, under the omophorion of the Metropolitan Agafangel.

Back in my catechumen days I remember learning from the Church that we Orthodox have no hope left for the Roman Catholic Church to return to us, BUT that individual Romans here and there might find their way. At the time I thought this must be caused by a fact of human nature.
Since then, this proves to be a pattern for schisms. And a pattern of (fallen) human nature.
But now Fr. Victor points out the fact that in the very Act of 2007 it was written in that there was no escape for the ROCOR once it signed the Act.
When Satan authors a schism, there is "written" into it a no-escape clause. This is true whether the schism is on paper or not. Satan lets his mask slip just a bit to let us see him snicker. The no-escape clause is Satan's craftwork.
For those individuals who have the ability to discern this, let them come back to their true home which is the true ROCOR.
