1 июля в Неделю 5-ю по Пятидесятнице в одесском Архангело-Михайловском храме Божественную Литургию возглавили Митрополит Агафангел и Епископ Хайфский Роман в сослужении протоиерея Виталия Морозова, иерея Дионисия Павловского, а также присоединившегося сегодня к нашей Церкви иерея Саввы Лаониз Святой Земли.

On July 1, at the 5th Sunday of Pentecost at the Holy Archangel Michael Church in Odessa, Ukraine, the Divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Agafangel and Bishop Roman of Haifa, co-served by Protopriest Vitaly Morozov, Priest Dionysius Pavlovsky, and Priest Sava Laon [иерея Саввы Лаон] of the Holy Land who joined us [our ROCA] today.

Иерей Савва был рукоположен в Иерусалимской Церкви при Патриархе Иринее, был его деятельным сторонником, и в какое-то время после низложения Патриарха, не одобряя курса новых церковных властей в направлении экуменизма и глобализма, по собственной воле отошёл от патриархии.

Priest Sava was ordained in the Jerusalem Church under Patriarch Irenaeus, and he was his active supporter, and at some time after the deposition of the Patriarch, disapproving the course of the new church authorities in the direction of ecumenism and globalism, he voluntarily departed from the patriarchate.

Сейчас он пожелал присоединиться к РПЦЗ, поскольку видит в нашей Церкви прежнее, святоотеческое служение Богу.

Now he has wished to join our ROCOR, because he sees in our Church the old, patristic service to God.

О. Савва будет помогать владыке Роману в числе пяти других наших священников, подвизающихся в Святой Земле.

O. Savva will help Vladyka Roman and be among the number of his five other priests, who are struggling to serve God and Holy Orthodoxy in the Holy Land.
