Note: This folk-custom, this children's Nativity Party,
this YOLKA, ['Christmas Tree'] is not a liturgical worship service,
but it is a sort of a religious oriented play, with scripted speeches and songs, (the quality
of which is never criticized),
centered around and honoring Christ's Nativity, and usually with small gifts and/or sweets
handed out to the children
at the end.
It is a chance for the adults present,
to also become children again, themselves.
We see our Metropolitan happily joining in light-heartedly with the children, whom he obviously
adores, and indeed is one of them.
