This is what is on Wikipedia [so BEWARE!..as anyone can put...any... information on that site,
whether it is verified or not, true or false] about Jerusalem Patriarch IRENAIOS (Skopelitis):
This worldly official version of these thorny controversial matters, is not the full story
and it is not what we think about him or of his enemies and detractors.
To our Vladyka Metropolitan Agafangel and our ROCA Holy Synod, Patriarch Irenaios
is the legitimate, [though wrongfully dethroned], true Jerusalem Patriarch and we are in co-communion with him.
Rd. Daniel

Biography [edit] of Patriarch of Jerusalem Irenaios, born: Emmanuel Skopelitis:

Irenaios was born on the island of Samos, Greece as Emmanouil Skopelitis, in April 1939, and came to Jerusalem in 1953.
He served for many years as Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre in Athens.

Controversy and dismissal[edit]

A few years into Irenaios' patriarchate, he was accused of selling several parcels of church-owned land in the Old City of Jerusalem to Israeli developers.
As most of the Orthodox Christians in the area are Palestinian, and the land was in an Arab-populated area that most Palestinians hoped would become as a part of a future Palestinian capital, these accusations caused a great deal of concern among Church members. On March 19, 2005, the Palestinian Authority formed a commission to investigate these allegations.
After a thorough investigation by the commission, the commission EXONERATED Patriarch Ireneos and concluded that the accusations made against him were "A very well calculated plan ... schemed by a number of clerics opposing Ireneos in collaboration with Israeli Extreme Right Wingers. Their interest converged in the aim of getting rid of Ireneos step by step." The report also concluded that "In accordance with the applicable law in East Jerusalem, Patriarch Ireneos is still the legitimate Patriarch enjoying full powers."[1]
Some Orthodox Church leaders in Jerusalem announced on May 5, 2005 in a letter that they had broken off contact (some called it boycotting) with Patriarch Irenaios, and regarded him as dismissed as Patriarch of Jerusalem.
The decision reached by the Holy Synod of Jerusalem of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre was made final on May 6, 2005 by a two-thirds vote of that body. As far as the Church leaders were concerned, Irenaios ceased to be Patriarch from that point. On 24 May 2005 a special pan-Orthodox Conference was convened in Constantinople (Istanbul) to review the decisions of the Holy Synod of Jerusalem. The pan-Orthodox Conference under the presidency of the Ecumenical Patriarch voted overwhelmingly to confirm the decision of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulcher and to strike Irenaios' name from the diptychs. On 30 May, the Synod of Jerusalem chose Metropolitan Cornelius of Petra to serve as locum tenens pending the election of a replacement for Irenaios.
The Holy Synod of Jerusalem went further. On June 16, 2005 it announced that Irenaios had been demoted to the rank of monk.[2] This action is now widely viewed as being uncanonical. Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has also said the defrocking does not have any validity, and is not recognized by any Orthodox Church. Since then Irenaios has not left his apartment and is de facto imprisoned there.[3]
Theophilos III was elected as the new Patriarch on 22 August 2005 by the Synod. The election was confirmed by the pan-Orthodox Synod of Istanbul (Constantinople) and he was enthroned on 22 November 2005.
By a longstanding tradition, the dismissal of a Patriarch of Jerusalem and the election of a replacement requires the approval or recognition of the governments in the regions of the Patriarchate's authority - presently, Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and Jordan. Jordan had recognized the dismissal by June 2005. Ireneos continued to be recognized by Israel as the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem until December 2007, and Israel continued to invite him to official government functions. As of 20 December 2007, the governments of Jordan and the Palestinian Authority and Israel all now recognise Theophilos III as Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem.[4]

Some Orthodox Wikipedia  history of Archimandrite Antonin (Kapustin):.

Antonin (Kapustin)

Antonin (Kapustin) was a monastic clergyman of the Church of Russia. He was a noted byzantologist and honorary member of many academies and scientific societies. He is noted for his activities in Greece and the Holy Land establishing ecclesiastical facilities and support for Russian pilgrims.

Life

Andrew Kapustin was born on August 12 , 1817 in the village of Baturino in the province of Perm in to a priestly family. He attended the Kiev Theological Academy, where he taught after his graduation. Entering monasticism, he was tonsured as monk with the name Antonin and rose to the rank of archimandrite.
A theologian and professor at the Kiev Theological Academy, in 1847, Fr. Antonin was assigned to the Church of the Savior, a church in disrepair in Athens, Greece that had been purchased by the Russian government of Tsar Alexander II to serve the Russian community in Athens. He led the effort to restore the church. During his service in Athens he also supervised archaeological excavations under the church that revealed the ruins of an earlier church and an even older Roman bath.
In 1860, Fr. Antonin served as the priest of the Russian embassy church in Constantinople where he was introduced into a new circle of acquaintances with influential Russians and Greeks in the Near East.
In 1865, Fr. Antonin joined, as chief, the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, a mission that had been officially established and recognized by the Ottoman Sultan in 1857. During Fr. Antonin's administration of the mission, he worked intently to strengthen the mission and its responsibilities to help Russian pilgrims to Jerusalem. In accomplishing the task, he began a vigorous activity of land acquisitions in Palestine and established hospices. These acquisitions were also inspired as a means of resisting the activities by Protestants and Roman Catholics who were active acquiring land and buildings in Palestine.
In November 1868, Fr. Antonin made his first acquisition, that of the Oak of Mamre, that according to the Scriptures was where the Old Testament Patriarch Abraham provided hospitality to three angels. In 1874, he had built near the Oak a hostel for the pilgrims.
Archim. Antonin, with Igumen Parthenius, acquired land at the summit of the Mount of Olives on which, in 1870, they built the Church of the Ascension with a 200 foot bell tower. Later, after Fr. Antonin's repose, Igumen Parthenius established the Convent of the Ascension at the site.
In 1871, Fr. Antonin acquired an extensive olive tree plantation upon which were two buildings that were used to shelter Russian pilgrims. The property was expanded with the purchase of adjacent lands. On this land, Fr. Antonin directed that pilgrims who wished to settle in Jerusalem had to build houses and plant the gardens around them at their own expense. That is why there are no blocks of cells for monastics when Russian nuns formed a separate convent, the Gorneye Convent, and began living there. The Church of the Meeting of the Most Holy Virgin Mary with St. Elizabeth was consecrated on March 30, 1883 at the convent. This consecration led to the addition of this feast to the Orthodox Liturgical calendar with the composition of the service added to the Menaion by Archim. Antonin[1].
In 1882, Archim. Antonin, with Conrad Shik, a German archaeologist and architect, supervised the excavations of the plot of land acquired by the Russian government in 1859 next the the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem The excavations known as the "Russian Excavations", uncovered a number of archaeological findings dated to the time of Christ, including the "needle's eye", and the Threshold of Judgment Gate.
In 1886, Archim. Antonin purchased land in Jaffa, in southern Tel-Aviv, on which the tomb of the righteous Tavifa (Acts: 9, 36) is located. Initially, a garden was planted on the land. In 1894, a temple was built, dedicated to the Apostle Peter, that was consecrated by Gerasimus, Patriarch of Jerusalem,.
Archimandrite Antonin reposed on March 24, 1894.

Archimandrite Antonin Kapustin's prophesy

See how significant is the role of the ROCOR in the end times.  This is why the Mystery of Iniquity works so hard to destroy the ROCOR.  All those who support the R-schisms participate with the antichrist.

About Mother Photini:

Mother Photini is the cell-attendant of the imprisoned patriarch Irenaios,[the imprisoned, but legitimate canonical Patriarch of Jerusalem] -who is in fact the only one currently actively helping the imprisoned Patriarch Irenaios.  Mother Photini was born in Australia in a monarchist family of Russian immigrants belonging to the Black Hundreds movement who fled the Bolshevik God fighting authorities.  From an early age she was raised in an Orthodox way and educated in the true spirit of the fear of Christ and His Church.  In order to provide the basic needs for the imprisoned Patriarch Irenaios, she has to work hard, sometimes all around the clock, as a guide to pilgrims visiting the Holy Places, in spite of her own old age.  It is not uncommon to find her still with pilgrims late at night, but she does it with all the love one can expect from a true Orthodox Christian who sacrifices herself not only for those needing spiritual guidance in these perilous times but for the aging Patriarch himself, who was the subject of a few assasination attempts by poisoning.  The needs of the aging Patriarch, who refuses to eat any kosher food which he consider "spiritually tainted", demand much from her but she never complains.  Because of this and other reasons, it is practically impossible to reach the Patriarch nowadays, in part also because some of those in charge with the administration of the Holy Sepulchre make sure that those wishing to see him are misguided that the Patriarch himself is also not willing to receive anyone ...

The Testimony of Mother Photini, the cell-attendant of the imprisoned Jerusalem Patriarch Irenaios:

My dear brothers and sisters, please allow me to convey to you a very important message since we, together with the members of our brotherhood will live under the authority of our beloved Patriarch Irenaios, a true martyr of our time. Through me, the unworthy one nun Photini, the Patriarch would like to send you his blessings and his prayers. At the same time he also asks that you may remember him in your prayers, reminding us all that we do now indeed live in the last days,  and the coming of Antichrist is now to be expected at any time.

What is happening in your country, Russia, are unquestionably very difficult trials, and, how should I say it, what is happening over there will lead to the complete destruction of the Orthodox Faith. Who could withstand, resist this?- I don’t know. As it is written in the Apocalypse: as Christianity started in catacombs, so it will also end, in catacombs.

Let me bring to your attention some historical facts regarding the current patriarch in Russia, whose name I will not mention again now, you know who he is very well. Here’s what happened here: in 2007 the two Churches united. On 17 May 2007, the two Churches, the Russian Orthodox Church in Exile (ROCOR) and the Patriarchate of Moscow, joined together and celebrated this important event.

While this was happening, Patriarch Irenaios (of Jerusalem) was begging the Church in Exile (ROCOR) not to rush towards unity but rather wait a little longer. He told them that if they would be patient they will be shown all the hidden inner workings, but they did not listen and the enemies of humanity raced to destroy the Church of Christ as quickly as they could. And it happened that in the same year, only a little later, on August 29 2007, Kiril, who was yet only a Metropolitan back then, had an official visit and met here at The Wailing Wall with his dear brothers, the Hasidic Jews, to whom he solemnly promised publicly, live on Israel’s television channel, the following:"My dear Hasidic brothers, I, the next patriarch, will do for you everything in my power to make sure that your dream will come true!”

And this promise he continually tries to fulfill.

(Photo of Church of All Russian Saints, in the Gorny Monastery, Ein Karem, Israel)

But the second most important thing is this: in 2004 in the Gorny Monastery (Mount Monastery) they began to build a church dedicated to All Russian Saints. In 2007 the church was completed and was awaiting to be sanctified, and on August 29, when Kiril came, he consecrated the church to the memory of All Russian Saints. A few years after his departure, in 2009 an order was given to have a small cave uncovered in honor of Saint John the Baptist, who is said to had lived in it, during his earlier years. When excavations began, they came accross the archive of Antonin Kapustin (Archimandrite, 1817-1894). It seems that when Khrushchev sold all the estates,[church lands]  the archive was hidden, being buried in this cave, but upon this occasion, the archive was found, uncovering a priceless treasure. To me, the sinner (mother Photini), was given the opportunity to witness and examine this archive personally.

I’ve read this archive and in there it was written the following:"I, Archimandrite Antonin Kapustin, while working on the foundation of the upper church of the  Gorny Monastery dedicated to the memory of All the Russian Saints, I had a terrible vision that I would not be able to complete it, but that it will only be completed right before the coming of the Antichrist and will be sanctified by the Forerunner of the Antichrist.

The Monastery was sanctified, of course, by Kiril-Gundayev, and Mark-Arndt of Berlin-the betrayer of the Church in Exile. Here it is, here’s the living proof.

I begged them (the sisters of the monastery) to give this archive to me for safekeeping, arguing that as a member of ROCOR and a foreigner in this land, it will somehow be better protected, as they would not dare do anything to me, but the sisters obviously did not consider it appropriate to entrust it to me. They believed that they should hand it over to the Abbess and then further on to others so that many would find the truth and be saved, but they were all miserably deceived. These are not the times when the spread of Orthodoxy works like that anymore, but the time that leads to perdition. The archive dissapeared and all the sisters who have read it have perished, except for me the last one. They all believed that nobody would listen to me anyway, myself being a foreigner, but they were mistaken.

I believe that God will still look in someone’s soul and somebody will understand what is happening today, and who will listen to these words. So you are running, and by running you are doing the right thing, as in the catacombs is our only salvation. Remember our imprisoned Patriarch (Irenaios) in your prayers, the martyr of our times. God is still preserving him for a purpose. I still hope and pray that he may be our last hope and light until the very end.

May Christ save you all! May the Mother of God be always with you, forever and ever. Amen!
