On 9/22 September 2016
there was held the funeral of Bishop Michael of Nora, GOC bishop on
Sardinia, Italy,-( a bishop of the GOC-Greece) in the Monastery of Sts.Киприана и Иустины (Фили, Аттика). Sts. Cyprian and Justina (Fili, Attica, Greece).
В
последние годы Его Преосвященство терпеливо нес свой крест тяжелой
болезни, однако за несколько месяцев до его кончины состояние здоровья
владыки серьезно ухудшилось, и умер он незадолго до полуночи во вторник 13 сентября 2016 г.
In
recent years, His Holiness Bishop Michael, patiently bore his cross of
serious illness, but a few months before his death, the health of His
Grace had seriously deteriorated, and he died shortly before midnight on
Tuesday 13 September 2016
Тело
почившего прибыло в Грецию на самолете, и во второй половине дня в
четверг, в день памяти святых праведных Иоакима и Анны, в обители Свв.
The
body of the deceased came to Greece by plane, and in the afternoon on
Thursday, the feast day of the Holy and Righteous Joachim and Anna, in
the monastery of Sts.Киприана и Иустины монахи исполнили чин погребения.
of Sts. Cyprian and Justina, the monks performed the rite of burial.
В
службе погребения участвовали, во главе с Архиепископом Каллиником,
Митрополиты Киприан Оропосский и Филийский, Геронтий Пирейский и
Саламинский, Хризостом Аттикийский и Филийский и Фотий Димитриадский, а
также епископ Климент Гардикийский, епископ Софроний Сучавский из
Старостильной Румынской Церкви и множество священников и диаконов.
The
burial service was attended by many, and was led by Archbishop
Kallinikos, Metropolitan Cyprian of Oropos and Fili, and bishops:
Gerontius of Piraeus and Salamis, Chrysostomos of Attikiysky and Fili,
and Photios of Dimitriadsky and Bishop Clement Gardikiysky, Bishop
Sophronius of Suceava Old Calendar Romanian Church and by many priests
and deacons.
Кроме
того, было много монахов, монахинь и простых верующих, которые пришли
попрощаться с известным им епископом Михаилом Норийским, посещавшим
много раз Грецию.
In
addition, there were many monks, nuns and ordinary faithful who came to
say goodbye to their famous Bishop Michael of Nora, who had visited
Greece many times.
Погребальное
слово было произнесено епископом Климентом Гардикийским, в котором он
сказал о совместной с Грецией борьбе покойного иерарха за истинную веру в
Сардинии, а также о его добродетелях и талантах, пожелав ему вечный
покой для блаженной души. The
funeral eulogy was preached by Bishop Clement of Gardikiyskim, in
which he spoke about the joint struggle in Greece [ to help promote the
unity of the Old Calendarists] of the late hierarch of the True Faith
in Sardinia, as well as about his virtues and talents, and wishing him
Eternal Rest with the souls of the blessed.
Затем тело покойного было перенесено священниками на кладбище монастыря, где и было погребено.
Then the body of the deceased was transferred by the priests, to the monastery cemetery, where he was buried.
После
погребения в монастыре состоялось поминальное угощение, во время
которого Митрополит Киприан отметил опыт бывших посещений прошлых лет
Сардинии, а также пожелал благополучного продолжения миссионерской
деятельности Церкви. After
the burial, in the monastery there was held a memorial meal, during
which Metropolitan Cyprian spoke about his experiences of his past
visits in the last number of years to Sardinia, and he wished a
successful continuation of the missionary activity of the Church there.

Sweden sent it to us and added this comment: "The Greek GOC Bishops were
there, but also Bishop Sofronie from Romania. Bishop Michael would go
to Greece at least twice a year: once for the Feast of Sts. Cyprian and
Justina and once for the secondary feast of the Convent of the Holy
Angels, so he was well loved and known by all the Hierarchs and
faithful."
