Orthodoxy in Guatemala

Sharing, just for information: "Orthodoxy in Guatemala"...the EP Version-

Comment: I want to rejoice over this triumphant news, but when I read that this Guatemalan Orthodox missionary church,
was 'received into the canonical Orthodox Church-under the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople'
I feel great sorrow for these poor sincere Guatemalan natives, as they are being taught 'Orthodoxy' by
modernist/ecumenist apostates, not the pure faith of the Apostles.
I remember the biblical words: "The blind being lead by the blind, and both shall fall into the ditch".
May God have mercy upon these people! They are a much and a  long suffering people.
Such is what worldly-Orthodoxy does, it possesses only a part of the Orthodox faith, mixed with many errors.
It is a counterfeit version, not the real complete thing.
Is this EP version, of Orthodoxy, at least...better.....spiritually than what religion these poor people had previously?
I cannot answer that question.
In these end apostate  times, who is there among us, who could lead these people,
into a purer more true Orthodoxy?

    Dear in Christ, Reader Daniel!

Thank you for your daily articles and news.

As for the Guatemala's case, I think that unfortunately it is not what it seems. All these people have not been converted to Orthodoxy as applicable, most of these people are led by clerics expelled from Catholicism for their "theology of liberation"'s views and are Leftist.

And the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the OCA were competing for received these people, not bigger shock Issues to the media and the issue of "quantity" over "quality", not for anything more than "mass media shock" and issues regarding "quantity" over "quality".

My very humble opinion is that the only real conversions in Guatemala are being carried out by HOCNA. There are also many political issues, as the leader (a former RC Bishop) of this group is a very political man and he has even linked expropriation of land from the "rich". These people are closer to Che Guevara than Orthodoxy...

Please, keep my mother, handmaid of God Sofia in your holy prayers, she was being from Friday in intensive therapy because of a bacteria.

    With love in Christ,

    p. Siluan

  2. This article is on-point. During my Master's degree program, I read about rogue Catholic priests in South America during the 60's that started this very same thing. My professors and most students were very leftist/radicals and applauded Liberation Theology as the answer to everything, when in fact, it is just marxism/socialism disguised as theology. The poor people are left bereft of true spiritual guidance in the True Church of Jesus Christ - and what happens to their souls?
