Bishop Ambrose (Baird) and conducted in English:

From: Bishop Ambrose
Subject: Pilgrimage
Date: 23 January 2018 at 15:06:51 GMT

We are planning an English-language Orthodox Pilgrimage to the Holy Land again on the 19th-24th October 2018. The pilgrimage places to be visited are all the usual ones in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Judaea, Samaria and Galilee. The cost, which includes an excellent hotel, transport in coaches to all the sites, breakfast and evening meal, taxi up Mount Tabor, a cruise on Lake Tiberias and a meal of St. Peter’s fish there, is 690 Euros per person. As the pilgrims will be coming from various places, they are to be in Tel Aviv by noon on the 19th October. Anyone interested should contact Andreas and Maria at akalliakmanis.net@gmail.com . The group will be led and guided by myself, all being well.

Subject: A thank you from Greece

Bless!  From the St Philaret the Merciful Orthodox Women's Guild today;-

Very Reverend Father Alexis, Evlogeite!
By the present letter, we would like to thank you most warmly for your willingness to actively support the work of our Guild.
Your contribution is exceptionally import for our difficult work. It bolsters our activities on behalf of susceptible and vulnerable groups of people and gives us the strength to continue, at the same time inspiring the movement of volunteerism and donations to our brothers and sisters in need.
We would like to inform you that the monetary assistance you send us every month is used to cover the needs of vulnerable people in the Municipality of Fili, such as the homeless, disabled, uninsured, handicapped, single-parent families, etc.
You can keep informed about the philanthropic work of our Guild here: www.agiosfilaretos.org.

Saint Philaret the Merciful Orthodox Women’s Guild

May the Mother of God grant you strength that we might always have you at our side, since without all of you we would not have the salvific blessing of ministering, in the person of our brothers and sisters, unto Christ Himself.
“ While there is yet time, let us visit Christ, let us heal Christ, let us feed Christ, let us clothe Christ, let us welcome Christ, let us honor Christ.”
(St. Gregory the Theologian, Oration 14, On Love for the Poor)

                                                                                            Yours Sincerely,
   The President of the Guild
