Состоялось освящение храма Новомучеников и Исповедников Российских в США, Миддлебург, штат Нью-Йорк в котором принял молитвенное участие и наш владыка Софроний.По благословению правящего архиерея Сиракутской и Никольской епархии, архиепископа Андроника, владыка Софроний возглавил богослужения на престольном празднике в честь преподобного Сергия Радонежского в Валлей Котедж в США где в со служении духовенства епархии рукоположил иподиакона Матфея в диакона. Владыка Андроник в это время находился у одра умирающего настоятеля Воскресенского прихода в Торонто (Канада) протоиерея Георгия Сачевского которого пособоровав приобщил святых таин, а на следующий день батюшка преставился ко Господу. Храм в Торонто не мог вместить всех прихожан которые пришли проститься с отцом настоятелем. Провели в последний путь батюшку на Джондарвилском кладбище два архиепископа нашей Церкви.
Сами торжества в Миддлебурге начались с всенощного бдения которое по обычаю совершается перед царскими вратами, так как престол будет занесен в алтарь лишь только на божественной литургии. Мало всех земных слов чтобы передать ту духовную радость которой были охваченны все присутствующии богомольцы. На улице был предусмотрительно установлен большой экран по которому можно было видеть все происходящее как в нутри алтаря так и самого храма. В благоговейной тишине были слышны молитвы и пения духовенства с алтаря, затем на призыв духовенства к крестному ходу с мощами весь храм начал петь гимны святым мученикам. После крестного хода, необычайная перекличка архиерея, стоящего в дверях храма с мощами и хора который уже находился в храме. На неоднократный возглас архиерея -:" Возмите врата князи ваша, и возьмитеся врата вечная и внидет Царь славы." Хор вопросительно дважды отвечал -: " Кто есть сей Царь славы". После головопреклоненой молитвы архиерей подняв дискос с мощами осеняя ими двери храма торжественно ответил -: " Господь сил,той есть Царь славы" Весь храм вторил торжественный гимн Царю славы: " Господь сил, той есть Царь славы". Закончилась Божественная литургия, а расходится не хотелось, хотелось еще побыть в том молитвенном настроении в присутствии мироточивой иконы святителя Николая. На всю жизнь мы запомним этот праздник который по молитвам святителя Николая и Новомученоков Российских был совершен в земле Американской.http://www.vishegorod.r

The consecration of the temple of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russian in the United States, Middleburg, New York which was attended prayer and our Bishop Sophronius.
With the blessing of the ruling bishop of the Diocese of Sirakutskoy and Nicholas, Archbishop Andronicus, Bishop Sophronius led worship at the feast day in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Valley Cottage in the United States where, in the service of the clergy from the Diocese ordained sub-deacon Matthew Deacon.
