Well, Fr. Sergius, I can only guess what your question seems to be, as you have been isolated from and outside of many church events for some time now, you have tried to understand current very confusing church events and people, and this new article of my ROCOR Met. Agafangel, which I have shared around to many, in English and in Russian, in his views on ROCOR/MP of Montreal, Archb. Gabriel Chemodakov’s, stubborn unrepentant defense of MP Pat. Kyrill, AND PUTIN!, and his recent loyalist-to Moscow statement that he and his ROCOR/MP (a schismatic church body created by apostate Met. Laurus Skurla, in June of 2007), will continue to commemorate and OBEY THEIR “PATRIARCH”, KGB AGENT- Kyrill Gundayev in Moscow, etc…and to support and excuse Putin too.
What Met. Agafangel is stating here, is that the…despicable betrayal in June of 2007 of a large part of the old originally “White-Russian” & anti-Communist, Russian Orthodox Church Outside Of Russia, …that group of the original ROCOR-obedient to Met. Laurus-Skurla, who lead by himself, went under and into apostate/schismatic obedience to Moscow, to its Stalin founded uncanonical and graceless …in 1943, PHONY ‘Russian Church’ to ,its Kremlin dependent “Moscow Patriarchate”, now headed by KGB AGENT “Patriarch” Kyrill Gundaev.
But when they did that, they were, guaranteed, ON PAPER, that they would keep their autonomy and self-governing status…and all of their original founding principals, etc….all of course a communist LIE.
WHEN DID ANY COMMIE EVER TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT ANYTHING OR KEEP THEIR WORD!?
NOW, this statement by ROCOR/MP’s Montreal Archbishop Gabriel CHEMODAKOV, clearly spells out...that, regardless of much current internal objections of ROCOR/MP members, that STILL, they…ROCOR/MP…ARROGANTLY!... will remain OBEDIENT TO KGB AGENT, MP Pat, Kyrill…and his total BLESSING & support for Putin’s massive war of murder and destruction on Ukraine.
In other words, what ROCOR Met. Agafangel (Pashkovsky) is stating is that…THIS is further& FINAL proof, that ROCOR/MP is 100% a slavish puppet of Moscow and bloodthirsty tyrant Putin…and no longer can even pretend to carry the original noble standard of being part of the original anti-Communist REAL ROCOR…i.e. of being a carrier of HOLY ORTHODOXY, but… they are now DEAD to that claim, and now..as this statement of traitor to the original ROCOR, Archbp. Gabriel proves, that he is STIILL …with it seems… as is all of their episcopate, ONLY a slavish MINDLESS -AND SOUL DEAD… ABJECT PUPPET of Moscow..i.e. apostates and despicable, and ANATHEMA!
THEY ARE 100% SPRITUALLY DEAD! & there is no longer any reasonable hope, that they…ROCOR/MP…their episcopate & …their clerical leadership…. will INTERNALLY….reform or repent, or return to true Orthodoxy, or depart from slavish puppet-like APOSTATE obedience to Moscow. And yes, a lot of their self-identified-Russians in their parishes, DO continue to support Putin and Kyrill, but also, many others do not. They and their MANY new Ukrainian parish members, in those parishes are fighting with each other, right now. One example is ROCOR/MP Kazan Church in San Francisco, I am told.

But, what… I …would add: We still do not know to what degree SOME PERCENTAGE…of their parish laity (whether “Russian” or “Ukrainians”…or American converts, etc.) will rebel and leave them, as many DO DESPISE & are against Putin and MP Pat. Kyrill, including the fact that NOW in many ROCOR/MP parish churches here, are lots of newly arrived Ukrainians…who DO HATE Putin and his KGB pal, Pat. Kyrill - WHO BLESSES HIS MONSTEROUS WAR ON THEIR NATION! etc.
And as with lots of Russian people, world-wide, they are ASHAMED of Russia, and even of their own Russian identity, because of this horrible war on Ukraine, etc..

This war in Ukraine will be the death of ROCOR-MP. Many parishes in the US were talking about disaffiliating with ROCOR-MP, many lay have left rocor, and the hierarchy in rocor-MP is clearly divided on this matter.
