September 23, the date of Reader Daniel's death, is also the memorial of the repose of the (blessed) Archbishop Anthony of San Francisco (2000†). This bishop was an important key part of Reader Daniel's life. His support was a comfort to Daniel who suffered as a victim of pervert Fr. Herman Podmoshensky's lies and slanders.
Vl. Anthony had conducted an investigation into the accusations against Fr. Herman, and eventually he came to believe the testimonies. After testifying, Reader Daniel lived the rest of his life on Fr. Herman's black list, causing him to be shunned and to be isolated in a not-good way, in a way that was harmful.
