*Many people, Orthodox and
non-Orthodox...world-wide.... see the YMCA as a 'Christian'
organization, [which the C in its title stands for] which only does
good deeds.
Indeed, it has materially
helped many Russian émigrés and other displaced persons from the post
World War II era, even as American Protestant churches also have done.
And too, many....world-wide.... also see Free-Masonry as...'good' and philanthropic, and which only ...helps... people, etc.
In America, this is especially a common popular attitude
Many Protestant clergy here in America, belong to the Masons, and as one American Methodist minister told me many years ago:
"Ah! the wonderful Masons!.... are the.... 'handmaiden of the church'! -doing all of the charity work!"
Sadly,
as I later learned, Free-Masonry has made big inroads into the ranks of
both the clergy and the richer-laity, of the Worldly-Orthodox in
America,
and this is true largely in the EP Greek Archdiocese, in the MP dependent OCA, and many others, -the Antiocheans not excluded.
Free-Masonry
believes in a very pagan conception of God, [which is actually the
biggest single piece of evidence that it is NOT 'Christian', at least
not as we Orthodox
define that label,] and it energetically promotes ecumenism. Even the
Vatican now allows Roman Catholics to belong to it.(!!!)

disconnected heretic
versions of Christianity, and their often co-connected beloved
Free-Masonry, and Who lead me to the Holy Orthodox Faith!

P.S. And what is the
biggest attraction of both the Free-Masons and also of the large and
rich and physically impressive American Methodist Sect and of the other
major American Protestant churches?... BIG
MONEY! and much social & political POWER!...both of which
have been big attractions to join, especially for ALL new coming fresh
immigrants, who want to fit into American life,
and be respected and accepted as good-Americans, and to get help
finding good and high paying occupations- all of which the Masons,
[their 'brother Masons'] have provided to their members for many years,
plus their wide-ranging charity work which they DO PERFORM,
and including a free burial in their Masonic cemeteries at the end.
But what is the spiritual price? .....a denial of what the Bible
teaches, [our Orthodox Holy Book, which most Protestant claim to
believe in and respect] and
a total deceptive loss of basic Christian faith in Our Lord Jesus
Christ, the God-Man, and SOLE...Saviour of the World. Masonry teaches,
in their 'secret writings and rituals', a very different definition of
their 'God'...a highly pagan ...demonic....god.
NO
ONE CAN BE A 'FREE-MASON', and also at the same time, an honest and
sincere ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN. (or in fact, no version of a Christian!)
The two are totally incompatible.
