Why? Because he alone [and yes, also Bishop Daniel of Erie, rejected that Judas-union, but he was sick and imprisoned and unfree at his life's end period kept locked up by  the pro-unionist plotters, so that he could not help consecrate more bishops for our continued ROCOR]..... among those then, in June of 2007, the  episcopal  members i.e. the ROCOR Synod of bishops, remained fully Orthodox and totally rejected the apostate & anti-canonical & apostate betrayal,  lead by apostate Laurus Skurla...Vl. Agafangel alone, in that ROCOR Synod of Bishops,  CONTINUED THE HISTORIC MISSION and reasons for the very existence of the diaspora CANONICAL LAWFUL Russian Church Abroad. No other claimants, to that title,  world-wide,  as to themselves being legitimate and canonical and ACTUAL episcopal continuations of the old free ROCOR, and who were actual members of the old free ROCOR Synod of Bishops, [as Vl. Agafangel was a member of] and all of them,...... and they are bogus in their claims. We know all of their names. Some have for sure been put up organizing their rival 'ROCOR-fragment' jurisdictions and to attacking Vl. Agafangel's church, because they are agents, willingly or unwittingly,  of the KGB and its MP, the International Communist Conspiracy.....which is still alive with KGB Vladimir Putin! Some of these false people entered our ROCA in Russia, and when Vl. Agafangel would not bow to their demands that he, like them,'as good loyal Russian citizens',  support Putin and his war against Ukraine,.... they LEFT  US. We,...... did not, 'throw them out'. Those MP loyalists in Russia, who Joined our ROCA UNDER FALSE PRETENCES,...AS MP-Putin -MOLES INSIDE OUR CHURCH TO WEAKEN US,  these Mt. View schismatic sympathize with and totally  support, using their 'plight' as evidence against our 'mean-spirited Vl. Agafangel' (!) Also, Vladyka Agafangel is fully Orthodox in his faith and outlook. He has proved this by his life and his words and his actions. His detractors only pretend to be Orthodox,...just the same as the MP does, indeed they.....pretend....... to be real....... Christians.(!) Those constantly maliciously slandering and attacking Vl. Agafangel , are not....and none of them who claim to STILL be,[ in their schism], valid bishops are....... valid or fully Orthodox bishops!  FLEE FROM THEM, for the sake of your immortal souls! Those who in 2007,  followed traitor Laurus Skurla, "ROCOR/MP" now under Hilarion Kapral, who himself is obviously totally obedient to Kyrill Gundaev, -they LEFT true Orthodoxy, and went into schism and heresy, they LEFT!  the canonical and Orthodox ROCOR, while our Vladyka Agafangel ALONE! STAYED in it, in his episcopal person, and thus he ALONE has continued the canonical and  free anti-communist Russian Orthodox Church Abroad,-blessed by Holy Patriarch Tikhon, .... indeed, the only part of THE historic Russian Church which remains free from communist/sergianist slavery and captivity. Those who now, as with these current delusional and very pathetic schismatics: Andronik Kotlaroff/Sofrony Musienko/ Stefan Sabelnik/Andrei Erastov 'Mt. View ' schismatics', are making schism and division against Metropolitan Agafangel, AIMED TO KILL OUR WORLD-WIDE ROCOR!, and to impose their illegal schism.... as if.... it were the legitimate ROCOR!, are only doing the will of the Kremlin and of Stalin's 'Moscow Patriarchy'- the pretend false Russian Church. NOTHING they do or say is Orthodox, [ but yes, they look-Orthodox in their public appearance and worship- but so does the MP!] nor do they have the right to label themselves as Orthodox Christians, and then.....do and say what all they do. SHAME on them all! SHAME!!! They have broken and trampled on sobornost/conciliarity, betraying their fellow bishops, betraying the Holy Orthodox Faith, and are crucifiers of Christ....soul killers. All they really seek, is the praise of men and worldly power and wealth. Their former episcopal consecrations[  and of their priestly followers' ordinations, are thus INVALID, and no sacraments they perform have grace. They have left The Universal Holy Catholic Apostolic Orthodox Church....whose local church connection with, WAS  our ROCA, which was their former attachment to The Universal Orthodox Church. No ordained or consecrated Orthodox clergy, if they depart from their original lawful and in true obedience to their rightful and fully-Orthodox bishops,..or if that bishop bans them or defrocks them from priestly ministry, [which is both his right and his duty]  can then as they go out the door of the Church, just put their ordinations or consecrations in their pockets, as if such HOLY ORDERS are  their personal property or private baggage, and continue to function AS IF, they were still Orthodox clergy. The only canonical exception to this is.... IF their former bishop has himself left Orthodoxy...apostatized, [which is what EXACTLY those ROCOR bishops and priests who bowed to the MP in 2007 did],  and is himself in heresy and/or schism from ORTHODOXY. This current gang of pathetic and misguided ill-willed 'Mountain View' detractors of our Vl. Agafangel seem to be struggling to prove, by their juggling of various non-applicable canons,  that Vl. Agafangel  is such a non-Orthodox bishop. While all the weight of actual evidence proves him to be fully Orthodox in his faith and life, and far ahead of them all in his profound knowledge of the Holy Orthodox Faith, They simply will not OBEY his lawful  CHRIST ORDAINED apostolic authority- that is THE problem. That fact alone, puts them outside of the Holy Orthodox Faith and Church. But all of their false accusations and slanders only prove that it is they themselves who are ignorant of the Orthodox Faith and its laws, deceivers and liars and are not Orthodox, or indeed not  even .....Christians...... whatsoever. "Where the Bishop is, there is The Church!".....that...... is Orthodoxy. This Andronik Kotlaroff lead Protestant-styled schism, DOES NOT EVEN FEAR GOD! But how few these days seem to know any of the accurate Russian Church history, especially from during and after the Bolshevik takeover of old Russia till today,  or even WHAT IS BASIC and FUNDAMENTAL ORTHODOXY [Catechism-Holy Fathers' NORMAL-Orthodoxy] and what IS NOT! Ignorance of the Orthodox Faith and its laws and norms of behavior, and a blind false-obedience foolish trusting of popular & sweet speaking clergy, who LOOK holy, which is what mislead many in 2007 to follow their beloved and trusted clergy leaders and to...... submit to the  STILL communist enslaved  MP. Friends, we live now in the end days, when ......"Will the Son of Man when He returns , WILL HE FIND ANY FAITH?"  Everywhere, deception and lies rule the entire world. Because Vladyka Agafangel stands firmly for the truth and for canonical and Holy Orthodoxy, that is why he is so viciously defamed, slandered, and attacked. And so have been all the Holy Confessors and Martyrs of past ages. God does not bless those who defame and insult righteous Orthodox bishops! or who are nailing  him, -Vladyka Agafangel,  to his cross, as they are currently doing. May God grant Many Years! MNOGAYA LETA! to our honorable Vladyka Agafangel and to our ROCOR Holy Synod!...and shame and confusion and repentance, to his enemies and detractors. Friends! flee these anti-Orthodox schismatics and heretics! Do not pray with them or take their blessings or their false sacraments. Return to obedience to Vladyka Metropolitan Agafangel! Rd. Agafangel WOULD NOT-INDEED..... COULD NOT..... Agafangel's ROCA, whether we have Russian blood in our veins or not,  are fooled by this 'pious sounding'  BALONEY claptrap smokescreen of lies and deceptions........sponsored and originating from Putin's massive propaganda machine. Vladimir Putin, the actual head/boss  of the apostate Moscow Patriarchate, the  idolizer of Lenin and Joseph Stalin!....who step by step is working daily  to return Russia [actually back to...Soviet-Russia] to the glorious days of Stalin's wonderful reign, -of terror and mass murder and mass torture. Is such activity creating, 'unity'??? What a sad joke! What Andronik Kotlaroff, with Stefan Sabelnik, and aided by Andre Erastov and Sofrony Musienko are founding, is but one more anti-Orthodox SECT, yes but,  'Orthodox-ish' in outward rituals, clerical titles,& formal appearance, but still a just a SECT, contrary to any and all Orthodox normal church order and canons. The Stalin founded Moscow Patriarchy is one  other big example of the same grace-less type of organization, which pretends to be The Orthodox Church. The 2000 plus years of Church history is full of such types, and most of those who have lead such church destructions,  have been renegade self-deluded ordained clergy, deposed  former disobedient arrogant unrepentant bishops most prominently. Power and money and the praise of men, VAINGLORY! that is what actually motivates them. Though they usually claim that they are heroically and righteously struggling to: purify and reform the corrupted church, to make it ...'better', to get rid of corrupt and evil leadership/'bad bishops',  and to install THEMSELVES as better leaders. That self-aggrandizing goal they label, as 'progress'. Here, those guilty themselves, of exactly this Christ condemned evil-doing, DISSEMBLING, attempt to accuse those whom they have wrongly left and have viciously slandered, of being under this biblical condemnation. На праздник Успения Богородицы в Успенском храме г.Трентона состоялось сослужение двух иерархов РПЦЗ , епископа Стефана Трентонского и Северо-Американского и архиепископа Андроника Сиракузского и Свято-Никольского. Радость двунадесятого и Престольного праздника, торжественное богослужение, глубокое утешение от совместной молитвы и братского общения - все это создало особую духовную атмосферу единства во Христе. Плоды этого отрадного события были в сердцах и на лицах всех участников праздника. Владыкам Стефану и Андронику сослужили иеромонах Игнатий (Крутков) и иеродиакон Павел (Липин). ENGLISH: Patronal Feast at the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Trenton, New Jersey A Celebration of Spiritual Unity            Our Lord and God Jesus Christ pointed out a faithful sign by which we can evaluate the events and phenomena of our life: “By their fruits shall ye know them.” (Mt. 7:16). Two hierarchs of the ROCA, Bishop Stefan of Trenton and North America and Archbishop Andronik of Syracuse and St. Nicholas, concelebrated the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos in the Assumption Church of Trenton. The joy of the Great Feast and the Patronal Feast, the solemn worship service, the deep consolation from joint prayer and fraternal fellowship -- all this created a unique spiritual atmosphere of unity in Christ. The fruits of this welcome event were felt in the hearts and seen in the faces of all the participants of that holy day. Bishops Stefan and Andronik were joined by Hieromonk Ignatiy (Krutkov) and Hierodeacon Paul (Lipin). At the end of the Divine Liturgy, a short molieben to the Theotokos was celebrated, after which Archbishop Andronik, as a sign of spiritual support and brotherly love, presented Vladyka Stefan with an icon of the Theotokos brought from Romania. To which Vladyka responded with gratitude and offered a heartfelt homily about the protection of the Mother of God, and also spoke of the hierarchs of the Church Abroad, who once served in that church. One can speak a long time figuratively of the taste of honey, but we can sense the aroma and enjoy its effect only after having tried it. So too in the life of the church; we can speak much of a desired unity, but only through the practical steps which lead to a joint Eucharist, do we understand fully the words of the psalmist, “Behold now, what is so good or so joyous, as for brethren to dwell together in unity.” (Psalm 132:1) Having experienced the abundant reward and joyous consolation from the jointly celebrated feast, the soul is filled with the hope that our unity will grow stronger, despite the inevitable difficulties of human weaknesses and the forces arrayed against the church. The process of unification will persuade inevitably other parts of the once united ROCA to come together.
