Correction: This GOC
Orthodox monastery resides, on its own small piece of property with its
three main buildings, with its own small Orthodox cemetery, inside the
boundaries of the vast Brookwood Cemetery,
Surrey, UK -perhaps the largest cemetery in the UK.
However, it is some distance from London, and is not 'in London', as this video is wrongly labeled.
And this video is but a very small portion/selection of the lengthy consecration rituals and services back in 2010.
Four bishops ministered
this consecration [using centuries-old sacred Orthodox rituals and
prayers, from the Old Testament times onward] of the new altar, [The
Throne] and of the entire church.
This holy episcopal consecration is evidence as to just how holy is our Orthodox Church, and its Sacred Tradition.
Just as our bishops, who
are decedents of the Apostles, are consecrated, [dedicated to God &
made holy] so too are our holy altars, and our places of Orthodox
worship.
"For the Lord Our God, ......is HOLY!",
and,
"Holy things .....are for..... the HOLY !"
and,
"Ye are called to.... be HOLY!"- saints.
The Orthodox lay people who attend
services there, and who help out in the parish-family work of the
brotherhood, are of many nationalities. And their languages are used,
when their own clergy serve.
St. Edwards is a gathering place for those various
foreign Orthodox immigrants or visiting traveling people in the UK,
who are traditionalist Orthodox, anti-ecumenist and anti-Sergianist,
and where they come for worship and the sacraments, and to socialize
with fellow believers and fellow nationals.
Also, very often, individuals and
groups of non-Orthodox visit and there and they are given friendly tours
and lectures on Orthodoxy, thus making St. Edwards a very missionary
brotherhood. And St. Edward, King and Martyr,
whose relics are in this church, was indeed an historic King of England in the (900's).
He died protecting monasteries in his kingdom.

A recent over-head... drone's view.... of the St. Edward's Brotherhood:
Sean Hickey, from Deepcut village near here, recently asked
permission to fly a drone over our community and photograph it. The
clip below is the result of his labours and may interest you. The music
is his, and the small living creature it features is
Bilbo. It ends with a picture of our Bishops
