Grace Bishop Ambrose (Baird) of Methone, visited the country with a
short visit.

the Liturgy was celebrated in the Temple of The Holy Martyrs and
Confessors, in Pistoia, in the presence of the prior of the church,
Protopresbyter Daniel Marlette.

On Tuesday, His Grace Bishop Ambrose visited the monasteries of
the Greek Orthodox Church of The Holy Archangel Michael and St.
Sergius in Loatsolo, Piedmont, where he had a conversation on spiritual
issues with the abbot
of the monastery, Fr. David Koramplios.

Его Высокопреосвященство митрополит Американский Димитриос в сопровождении небольшой группы паломников
посетил церковь Св. блаженной Ксении Петербургской и скит Свмуч.
His Eminence
Metropolitan Dimitrios of America, accompanied by a small group of
pilgrims, visited the Church of Holy Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg and
the Holy Monastery of St.
Ignatius the God-Bearer, in Guatemala.
Игнатия Богоносца в Гватемале.
Они прибыли в Гватемалу накануне праздника Святой Ксении и молились за Всенощной, которая продолжалась
до середины ночи.
They arrived in
Guatemala on the eve of the feast of Saint Xenia and prayed at the
Vigil, which lasted until the middle of the night.
Утром была отслужена Архиерейская Литургия и Его Высокопреосвященство митрополит Димитриос рукоположил
монаха Игнатия (постриг которого митрополит Димитриос совершил во время Всенощной) в диаконы.
In
the morning, the Bishop's Liturgy was
served and His Eminence Metropolitan Dimitrios ordained the monk
Ignatius (whom Metropolitan Dimitrios tonsured during the Vigil) to the
deaconate.
После Литургии и шествия с иконой Святой Ксении верующим была предложена праздничная трапеза.
After the Liturgy and the Cross-procession
with the icon of St. Xenia, the believers were offered a festive meal.
Церковь в Гватемале в Латинской Америке была основана Его Высокопреосвященством более двенадцати лет
назад.
The Church in Guatemala in Latin America was founded by His Eminence more than twelve years ago.
Там
он провел время разговаривая с верующими, вспоминая первые годы,
которые были очень трудными, и
подчеркнул, что вся слава и благодарение должны быть приписаны Господу:
«Только Господь строит дом, иначе тщетно мы трудимся ...».
There he spent time
talking with believers, recalling the early years, which were very
difficult, and stressed that all the glory and thanksgiving should be
attributed to the Lord:
"Only the Lord builds a house, otherwise we work in vain ...".
Далее Его Высокопреосвященство посетил скит и встретился с верными из Санта-Крус, Барберена, в рамках
подготовки к празднику святого Игнатия Богоносца, покровителя скита.
Further, His Eminence visited the monastery
and met with the faithful from Santa Cruz, Barberena, in preparation for
the feast of St. Ignatius the God-bearer, the patron saint of the
monastery.
Была отслужена Всенощная, а утром Архиерейская Литургия.
Vigil was served, and in the morning the Bishop's/Pontifical Liturgy.
Иеродиакон Игнатий был возведен в священнический сан.
Hierodeacon Ignatius was elevated to the priesthood.
Также в этот день Его Высокопреосвященство крестил десять человек.
Also on this day, His Eminence baptized ten people.
Иеромонах Игнатий теперь является членом скитского братства.
Hieromonk Ignatius is now a member of the
monastic-skete's brotherhood.
Господь
Бог да дарует ему быть благочестивым монахом и жить благословенной жизнью послушания.
May the Lord God grant him to be a pious monk and live the blessed life of obedience.
Иеромонах Максимос
усердно работает над созданием кофейной плантации с помощью местных
жителей, которые хорошо знают свою работу.
Hieromonk Maximos works hard to create a coffee plantation with the help of local residents who know their work well.
Во время поездки в Гватемалу отец Евангелос из Кубы связался с Его Высокопреосвященством, чтобы обсудить
вопросы, связанные с церковью на Кубе.
During his trip to
Guatemala, Evangelos' father from Cuba contacted His Eminence to discuss
issues related to the church in Cuba.

His Eminence changed the date of the return flight to spend a few days in Cuba.

There they decided to buy an inexpensive house, which would become a permanent place of worship.

Father Evangelos, who has a specialty as
a builder, can help turn that house into a church.

At the same time,
Metropolitan Dimitrios talked with representatives of another community
of about eighty to ninety people who are interested in joining the
Church.
Мы просим верующих продолжать молиться за нашу растущую Латино-Американскую Церковь, особенно в предстоящие
благословенные дни Великого поста.
We ask the faithful to continue to pray
for our growing Latin American Church, especially in the blessed days of Lent.
