A distinct charisma and emotion flooded the hearts of believers who came from different parts of Greece to the annual celebration at the Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Akrotiri in Serifos, on the weekend of January 30 and 31, 2018 (Father's Day) . Во второй половине дня в понедельник (30 января) было отслужено Великое Повечерие Преосвященнейшим митрополитом Пирейским и Саламинским Геронтием, который прибыл по приглашению Преосвященнейшего митрополита Димитриадского Фотия, наместника Кикладской и Додеканеской Митрополии. On the afternoon of Monday (January 30), the Great Vespers was celebrated by His Grace Metropolitan Piraeus and Salamis Gerontius, who arrived at the invitation of His Grace Metropolitan Dimitrios Photius, the viceroy of the Cycladic and Dodecanese Metropolia. В канун праздника (вторник, 31 января) была отслужена Торжественная Литургия Преосвященнейшим митрополитом Пирейским и Саламиниским Геронтием, в сослужении иеромонаха Афанасия Тзенниса и пресвитера Константина Папандасиоса. On the eve of the feast (Tuesday, January 31), the Liturgy was celebrated by His Grace Metropolitan of Piraeus and Salamini, Vladyka  Gerontius, who was co-served by Hieromonk Athanasius Tznnis and Presbyter Konstantin Papandasios. Среди Христиан, которые пришли почтить Икону Пресвятой Богородицы были служащие Вооруженных Сил и Сил Безопасности ( ВМС, ВВС, Морской охраны и Безопастности) а также среди них присуствовал Архилохиас Василики Плексида, который получил чудесное спасение при помощи Пресвятой Богородицы, во время рокового падения военного вертолета в Сарантапоро-Эласонос в апреле 2017 г.  Among the Christians who came to honor the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos were servicemen of the Armed Forces and the Security Forces (Navy, Air Force, Marine Protection and Security) and among them was Archilochias Vasiliki Plexida, who received miraculous salvation with the help of the Blessed Virgin, during the fateful fall of a military helicopter in Sarantaporo-Elazonos in April 2017. Преосвященнейший Геронтий в своей праздничной проповеди в день чудотворной Иконы Пресвятой Богородицы в связи с приближающимся началом Великого Поста призвал всех верных, воспользоваться духовной возможностью и усугубить духовную борьбу с помощью добродетелей, чтобы в будущем получить богатые милости от Господа Иисуса Христа.  His Reverend Gerontius, in his celebratory sermon on the day of the miraculous Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, in connection with the approaching beginning of the Great Lent, called upon all the faithful, to take advantage of the spiritual opportunity and exacerbate the spiritual struggle with the help of virtues, in order to receive in future great  riches from the Lord Jesus Christ. Его Преосвященкство поблагодарил настоятеля монастыря в Серифосе преподобного Антония Андонакиса, а также паломников, которые претерпели неудобства в долгой поездке для того, чтобы принять участие в монастырском праздновании.  His Grace thanked the priest of the monastery in Serifos, the Monk Anthony Andonakis, as well as the pilgrims, who had been uncomfortable on their  long trip in order to take part in the monastic celebration. За эти два дня большое число паломников пользовалось монашеским гостеприимством, устроенным игуменией монастыря геронтиссой Антодохией.
