Asking your prayers and donations for our missions in Haiti as we prepare for the Great Feast of Pentecost.
This is the end of the school year in Haiti, as elsewhere, and
teachers have to be paid. I have a safe way to transfer money to Haiti
set up by Fr Gregory. However, donations have dwindled because people
do not know what is happening or who is responsible
for the HOM. Bishop Gregory of North and South America is responsible,
but so far no one Has been specifically assigned.
HOM has a dedicated bank account and money is sent directly from the account at the bank to Fonkoze’. Fonkoze'
is a non-profit org. which handles financial transactions for a VERY small fee. The HOM bank acct. has only $1300
Hopefully The transaction will be made next Monday
Until someone takes over that responsibility I will continue to receive, deposit, and transfer the HOM funds.
Send CHECKS ONLY PLEASE to
Haitian Orthodox Mission
1180 Orthodox Way
Liberty, Tn. 37095
In Christ, I thank you for your prayerful attention to this and future requests
Matushka Anastasia
PS Very soon we will be asking for donations for the transfer of the free food to Haiti.
READ mail below from Bishop Ambrose GOC.
Also i need some one to translate messages from Haiti without having to ask Bishop Ambrose

Dear Matushka and fathers,
I have received several urgent
messages from Haiti (this is just the latest one). Several years ago I
visited Haiti twice, at the invitation of Metropolitan Agafangel, as
there was no bishop of the ROCA who spoke French. Unfortunately,
with my responsibilities in Africa (I have 47 priests there under my
pastoral care) and with my advanced years it is totally impossible for
me to assume the care for these souls, let alone for the material
subsistence of the Haitian Mission. I therefore implore
you to do whatever you can to keep things going there; if this is
impossible, then at least they should know definitely, in order to wind
down operations of the schools. This would be a great pity, but even
more if the parishes to were to close! +A.
Merci!
