Metropolitan Agafangel: Calling ROCOR

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to you! how many times have I wanted to gather your children together, as a bird gathers her chicks under her wings, and you did not want to!" (Mt 23:37)

It is impossible not to agree that in our days the whole world is shaken by events, the final definition of which no one is able to give. Here everything is mixed into one whole: wars and earthquakes, massive epidemics and climate change on the entire planet, increased control over humanity and its extreme spiritual decline. Now many believers and non-believers in God are at a loss, what does this all mean? Undoubtedly, these events require action from each person. What? What in this world suddenly became "wrong"?

We are warned about these events: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues and earthquakes in places; yet this is the beginning of diseases" (Mt 24:7-8; see Mk 13:8 and Lk 21:11). This is the beginning, the beginning of something more. What diseases? Disease and death are always with us. What special diseases are mentioned here?

Archbishop Averky wrote in his interpretation of this verse that wars and natural disasters would only be the beginning of the coming tormenting horrors, which, due to their burden, are compared by the Lord with the illnesses of birth.

We follow Christ, He has passed before us all our way. The God-Man in the Garden of Gethsemane uttered to His disciples the words that were the groan of His human flesh: “ My soul is grieving to death,” does it mean that all of humanity, following Him, must accept this mortal sorrow? What is this grief about? About death as God-forsakenness, separation from God. "My God, My God! Why did You leave Me?" (Mt 27.46) — what could be more terrible than this cry of a dying God-man?

"Then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, and will not be. And if those days had not been shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened" (Mt 24.21-22).

Overcoming this mortal sorrow is only victory over death - RESURRECTION . Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane prayed for the resurrection of His Human nature into eternal life with God, and for such a resurrection of all who are one with Him: shall be one in Us" (Jn 17:32). And the Man Jesus was heard by God Christ.

"He, in the days of his flesh, with a strong cry and with tears, offered prayers and supplications to him who was able to save him from death; and he was heard for his reverence" (Heb 5.7).

So the human race, all human nature, before the end of the world, will experience the pangs of separation from God. And this separation has already begun, and it is in this that great illnesses and sorrows lie.

Christ preached: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Mt 4.17). Therefore, the current earthly upheavals are connected with the approach of the Kingdom of Heaven, and those who want to protect themselves from this great tribulation should strive to be included in the number of the elect. There is no other way of salvation. To enter into this number, it is necessary, according to the Savior's word, to repent.

What does it mean to repent? First of all, move away from all unrighteousness: "Come out of her, My people, so that you do not participate in her sins and not be exposed to her plagues" (Rev. 18.4-5), and turn to God.

Get out of what? from every community in which there is untruth. One such community is the Moscow Patriarchate, founded by Joseph Stalin in 1943 and since then to this day secretly ruled by overt and covert theomachists  (now it is open in the blessing of MP Patriarch Kirill to kill people in Ukraine). Even simple laymen, who do not suspect anything bad about their hierarchy, without knowing it themselves, are privates in the army led by the enemies of God! In those atheistic years, only the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and the Catacomb Church in the USSR professed intact Orthodoxy and were the Church of Christ on earth. Our time has not changed the essence of this confession.

Repentance does not happen by itself, church repentance necessarily implies some kind of action - leaving the sinful community and joining the true Church. Otherwise it is impossible.

We all need, to some to a greater extent, and to some to a lesser extent, to be freed from the spiritual captivity of what is called politics (today it has completely degenerated into devilish charm), to stop building another Tower of Babel in the form of an illusory just state, both in Russia and in Ukraine that in any other country - "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness", and everything that is necessary in life, according to the word of God, "will be added to you" (see Mt 6.33).

We all have only one life, and it is very short, and it is given to us not so that we bring it to the altar of modern political projects invented by the devil, but so that we move away from the old Adam and turn to a new, perfect man. – to Christ, and from the kind of fallen humanity have become a new, Christian people – citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.

There was and remains only one way to this: "Deny yourself, and take up your cross, and follow Me" (Mt 16.24; see Mk 8.34; Lk 9.23).

Follow only Christ, no one else - this is the way of salvation for all time.

"Иерусалим, Иерусалим, избивающий пророков и камнями побивающий посланных к тебе! сколько раз хотел Я собрать детей твоих, как птица собирает птенцов своих под крылья, и вы не захотели!" (Мф 23.37)

Невозможно не согласиться, что в наши дни весь мир потрясают события, окончательного определения которым никто не в силах дать. Здесь всё смешалось в одно целое: войны и землетрясения, массовые эпидемии и изменения климата на всей планете, усиление контроля над человечеством и его крайнее духовное падение. Сейчас многие верующие и не верующие в Бога люди в недоумении, что это всё означает? Несомненно, эти события требуют от каждого человека действий. Каких? Что в этом мире вдруг стало "не так"?

Об этих событиях мы предупреждены: "Восстанет народ на народ, и царство на царство; и будут глады, моры и землетрясения по местам; всё же это — начало болезней" (Мф 24.7-8; см. Мк 13.8 и Лк 21.11). Это начало, начало чего-то бо́льшего. Каких болезней? Болезни и смерть всегда с нами рядом. О каких особых болезнях здесь говорится?

Архиепископ Аверкий писал в толковании на этот стих, что войны и природные бедствия будут только началом грядущих мучительных ужасов, которые, по своей тягости, сравниваются Господом с болезнями рождения.

Мы идём за Христом, Он прошёл перед нами весь наш путь. Богочеловек в Гефсиманском саду произнёс Своим ученикам слова, бывшие стоном Его человеческой плоти: "Душа Моя скорбит смертельно", значит, и всё человечество, вслед за Ним, должно принять эту смертельную скорбь? О чём эта скорбь? О смерти, как богооставленности, разлучении с Богом. "Боже Мой, Боже Мой! для чего Ты Меня оставил?" (Мф 27.46) — что может быть ужасней этого крика умирающего Богочеловека?

"Тогда будет великая скорбь, какой не было от начала мира доныне, и не будет. И если бы не сократились те дни, то не спаслась бы никакая плоть; но ради избранных сократятся те дни" (Мф 24.21-22).

Преодолением этой смертельной скорби есть только победа над смертью — ВОСКРЕСЕНИЕ. Христос в Гефсиманском саду молился о воскресении Своего Человеческого естества в вечную жизнь с Богом, и о таком воскресении всех, кто с Ним един: "Да будут все едино, как Ты, Отче, во Мне, и Я в Тебе, так и они да будут в Нас едино" (Ин 17.32). И Человек Иисус был услышан Богом Христом.

"Он, во дни плоти Своей, с сильным воплем и со слезами принёс молитвы и моления Могущему спасти Его от смерти; и услышан был за Своё благоговение" (Евр 5.7).

Так и роду человеческому, всему человеческому естеству, перед концом мира, предстоит испытать муки разлучения с Богом. И это разлучение уже началось, и именно в этом заключаются великие болезни и скорбь.

Христос Своей проповедью говорил: "Покайтесь, ибо приблизилось Царство Небесное" (Мф 4.17). Поэтому, нынешние земные потрясения связаны с приближением Небесного Царства, и те, кто хочет защититься от этой великой скорби, должны стремиться войти в число избранных. Нет другого пути спасения. Чтобы войти в это число, надо, по слову Спасителя, — покаяться.

Что значит покаяться? Прежде всего — отойти от всякой неправды: "Выйди от неё, народ Мой, чтобы не участвовать вам в грехах её и не подвергнуться язвам её" (Откр 18.4-5), и обратиться к Богу.

Выйти из чего? — из всякого сообщества, в котором заключена неправда. Одним из таких сообществ является Московская патриархия, основанная Иосифом Сталиным в 1943 году и с тех пор по сегодняшний день тайно управляемая явными и скрытыми богоборцами (ныне это открыто в благословении патриарха МП Кирилла убивать людей на Украине). Даже простые миряне, ничего не подозревающие плохого о своём священноначалии, сами того не ведая, являются рядовыми в армии, руководимой врагами Божиими! В те богоборческие годы только Русская Православная Церковь Заграницей и Катакомбная Церковь в СССР исповедовали неповреждённое православие и были на земле Христовой Церковью. Наше время сути этого исповедования не изменило.

Само собой покаяние не происходит, церковное покаяние обязательно предполагает некое действие — уход из греховного сообщества и присоединение к истинной Церкви. Иначе невозможно.

Нам всем необходимо, кому в бо́льшей степени, а кому в меньшей, освободится от духовного плена того, что называют политикой (сегодня полностью переродившуюся в диавольскую прелесть), перестать строить очередную вавилонскую башню в виде призрачного справедливого государства, что в России, что в Украине, что в любой другой стране, — "Ищите же прежде Царства Божия и правды Его", а всё, что в жизни необходимо, по слову Божьему, "приложится вам" (см. Мф 6.33).

У всех нас только одна жизнь, причём, очень короткая, и она дана нам не для того, чтобы мы принесли её на алтарь современных политических проектов, придуманных диаволом, а для того, чтобы мы отошли от ветхого Адама и обратились к новому, совершенному человеку — Христу, и из рода падшего человечества соделались новым, христианским народом — гражданами Небесного Царства.

Путь к этому был и остаётся только один: "Отвергнись себя, и возьми крест свой, и следуй за Мной" (Мф 16.24; см. Мк 8.34; Лк 9.23).

Идти следует только за Христом, больше ни за кем — в этом на все времена заключён путь спасения.
