This is mainly a young
peoples' presentation, [ but obviously enjoyed by their elders], and of
course, performed with modern popular type music, not in older folk music. The
main lyrics, all in Russian, are repeating over and over, 'Christ is
Risen...Truly He is Risen!', and taking some other verses from the
services for Pascha, repeating and magnifying the deep spiritual meaning of the celebration, and its influence on our lives.(This
region, now a separate nation, of 'Moldova', was once called,
Bessarabia, and was once part of Romania, then the Russian Empire later
on. Apparently, it is a mix of different ethnic peoples and languages. These people, it seems are of mainly Russian speaking decent, but likely they also know Romanian, and perhaps other local dialects. In their church services, they seem to use mainly Church Slavonic).
