From December 16 to 19, Metropolitan Agafangel made an archpastoral visit to our Nicholas parish in Lyon (France).
On Saturday, December 17, he prayed at the All-Night Vigil, and on December 18, on the 27th Sunday after Pentecost, he officiated the Divine Liturgy, co-served by Archpriest Christo Petkov and Priest George (TOC of Greece), with Protodeacons German Ivanov-Thirteenth, Evgeny Doroshin and the deacon Alexandra (Greek CPI). At the Hours before the Liturgy, Vladyka Agafangel tonsured a parishioner of the Longin-Sok Church as a reader, and at the Small Entrance with the Gospel he consecrated reader Zhivko Zhelev as a subdeacon.
At the end of the Liturgy, a moleben was served to St. Nicholas of Myra, whose memory was celebrated on Monday, after which a procession was made around the church.
After the divine services there was a solemn meal in honor of the Patronal Feast.
After the meal In the evening, the All-Night Vigil was held in memory of St. Nicholas. On December 19, early in the morning, Metropolitan Agafangel left to go back home, to War-Under Attack, Odessa, Ukraine.
