On September 16-18, 2019, the theological conference of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad took place in Vologda. Соборные службы в храме преподобного Серафима Саровского совершили епископ Вологодский и Великоустюжский Афанасий и архиепископ Буинский и Волжский Иоанн в сослужении клириков РПЦЗ из Вологды, Москвы, С-Петербурга и Ижевска.
Cathedral services (lead by two bishops), in the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov were performed by the Bishop of Vologda and Velikoustyuzhsky, Vladyka Athanasius and the Archbishop of Buinsky and Volzhsky, Vladyka Ioann, co-served by clergy of the ROCA from Vologda, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Izhevsk.
Был прочитан ряд докладов, посвященных литургическому преданию и истории Православной Церкви, а также проблемам, связанным с внедрением в жизнь общества цифровых технологий.
A number of reports were devoted to the liturgical tradition and the history of the Orthodox Church, as well as to the problems associated with the implementation of digital (internet, etc) technologies in society.
Обсуждались и текущие вопросы епархиальной и приходской жизни. The current issues of diocesan and parish life were also discussed.
По окончании конференции ее участники посетили святыни Вологодской земли – Павлов Обнорский и Ферапонтов монастыри, приход РПЦЗ во имя Владимирской иконы Божией Матери в селе Ферапонтово, а также подворье Вологодского женского монастыря РПЦЗ во имя Державной иконы Пресвятой Богородицы в деревне Дорогуша, где осмотрели расположенное там образцовое фермерское хозяйство. At the end of the conference, its participants visited the historical holy places of the Vologda region - the St. Pavlov of Obnorsky and the Ferapontov monasteries, the parish of the ROCOR in the name of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Ferapontovo, as well as the courtyard of the Vologda Women's Monastery of the ROCA dedicated to the Sovereign Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Dorogusha, where they examined the food products located there, produced from their monastery's farming efforts.
