There is reason to doubt the sincerity of the Russian embassy, ​​which claims that Russia is not officially present in Northern Cyprus. The Kremlin is not accustomed to mislead everyone with the assurances that the Russian Federation is not involved in any conflicts. This was the case, for example, in Ukraine in 2014, when the Russian authorities swore to the world community that it had nothing to do with military operations in the Donbass. The international refusal to recognize the separatist formations of the DPR and LPR as separate states does not prevent Russians from traveling to the Ukrainian occupied territories, trading with quasi-republics, or acquiring property left there by forced refugees. After all, seized housing is cheap. Like real estate built in Northern Cyprus.

By the way, one of the partners of the School of Tomorrow is the University of Nicosia - the largest private university in South Cyprus.

"Rossotrudnichestvo"

A close study of the site of the school "Children's Harmony" leads to a number of interesting discoveries. In the "Our Partners" section , the site of the North Cypriot Russian school points to the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots Living Abroad (Rossotrudnichestvo).

What is Rossotrudnichestvo? This is a federal agency for the affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States, compatriots living abroad, and for international humanitarian cooperation, created in September 2008 in accordance with a decree of the President of the Russian Federation. Rossotrudnichestvo is subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Its official goal is to promote Russian interests abroad in the form of support for Russian diasporas, humanitarian programs, educational and cultural events, charity, etc.

So, on the Rossotrudnichestvo website there is information about an event dedicated to the Victory Day, which took place in the same Russian school in Northern Cyprus, Children's Harmony.

Cyprus Church trapped in Russian influence

Rossotrudnichestvo operates in Cyprus through its representative office, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia. At the same time, in the Russian Center, in turn, an expert club was created, one of the members of which is Metropolitan Isaiah of Tamasso and Orenia (Cyprus Orthodox Church). Isaiah is known for his blatant Russophilia and equally blatant rejection of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which received from the Ecumenical Patriarch Tomos about autocephaly. Perhaps the key philanthropist of the Tamasso Metropolitanate is the Russian businessman Vyacheslav Zarenkov, who financed the construction of theChurch of Apostle Andrei and All Saints in Episcopio , who shone in the Russian Land. Typical temple architecture in the Russian style (with onion domes and even birches on the frescoes inside) directly points to the design of the Russian presence in Cyprus. The award of this patron of the Tamasso Metropolis took placeat a meeting of the expert council of the very Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia.

So, the North Cypriot Russian school has two important partners in Russia. The first partner is a licensed Moscow private school, through which North Cyprus education certificates are likely to be legalized in Russia.The second partner is Rossotrudnichestvo Federal Agency for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, which openly promotes school events in Northern Cyprus. The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Cyprus is the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia, which actively cooperates with two Cypriot metropolitans - Kikksky and Tamassosky. In turn, the main patron of the Tamasso Metropolis is Vyacheslav Zarenkov, who is also associated with the Cypriot representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, which is a partner of the North Cypriot Russian school.

From the foregoing, very sad conclusions follow. The Russian Consulate in Cyprus and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation are suspected of legalizing documents issued in Northern Cyprus. At least two Cypriot metropolitans who publicly promote Russian interests on the island are drawn into this scheme through the Russian state structure, allegedly dealing with Russian humanitarian programs in Cyprus (Rossotrudnichestvo). And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Cypriots should have understood long ago that the Russians, having freely penetrated into Greek Cyprus thanks to the cordiality and trust of their owners, would sooner or later begin to master occupied Northern Cyprus. How did this happen with the Ukrainian Donbass. And one of the gates of the Russian invasion was opened by representatives of the Church of Cyprus. And it’s too late to expect the deportation of all Russians from the occupied territories.
