Our ROCA's head, Metropolitan Agafangel comments,About the proposal of UOC-Kiev Pat. Filaret, for a one united autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church:

 Metropolitan Agafangel: Patriarch Filaret of the UOC-KP can not stand the pressures

В ожидании автокефалии Украинской Церкви и видя, что эта затея мало осуществима, Патриарх УПЦ КП Филарет сегодня обратился от имени своего Синода "К православным иерархам, духовенству, монашеству и мирянам Украины, и ко всему украинскому народу по вопросу утверждения в Украине единой Поместной Православной Церкви".

In anticipation of the autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church and fore-seeing that this venture is not feasible, the Patriarch of the UOC-KP Filaret today addressed an appeal on behalf of his Synod "To Orthodox hierarchs, clergy, monastics and laypeople of Ukraine, and to the entire Ukrainian people on the issue of the establishment in Ukraine of a single Local Orthodox Church ".

This appeal is posted on the officialwebsite of the UOC-KP.

Выразив, прежде всего, благодарность украинским властям – лично Президенту и Верховной раде, Патриарх Филарет раскритиковал власти Российской Федерации и Московскую Патриархию (часть которой он с недавнего времени справедливо именует Митрополией Московского Патриархата в Украине) за вмешательство во внутренние дела Украины.

Expressing, first of all, gratitude to the Ukrainian authorities - personally to the President and the Verkhovna Rada, UOC-Kiev Patriarch Filaret criticized the authorities of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Patriarchate (part of which he rightly calls "The Metropolitanate of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine") for interfering in the internal affairs of Ukraine.

Он призвал членов Митрополии МП в Украине не участвовать "в политических провокациях про-кремлёвских сил" и "к сознательному, добровольному единению в единую Поместную Православную Церковь в Украине".

He urged members of the MP's Metropolitan in Ukraine,  not to participate in "political provocations of pro-Kremlin forces" and "to a conscious, voluntary unification in a single local Orthodox Church in Ukraine."

А далее, как в печальной памяти доносах, писавшихся в советские времена:And then, as in the sad memory of denunciations, written in Soviet times:

"Одновременно мы считаем недопустимым, чтобы под видом религиозной деятельности через структуры Московского Патриархата в Украине распространялась кремлевская агрессивная идеология «русского мира», чтобы верные и приходы Митрополии РПЦ в Украине становились заложниками про-кремлевских сил и проводниками их программы. Государство должно надлежащим образом реагировать на все факты нарушения законодательства, принимать меры для прекращения таких нарушений и привлечения виновных к ответственности. Общественность Украины также имеет 

"At the same time, we consider it unacceptable that under the guise of religious activities, through the structures of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine, the Kremlin's aggressive ideology of the "Russian world" spreads, so that the faithful and parishes of the MP-ROC's Metropolitanate in Ukraine, become hostages of pro-Kremlin forces and conductors of their program, on all facts of violation of the law, take measures to stop such violations and bring those responsible to justice.

раво мирно, предусмотренными законами способами, выражать свое осуждение фактов противоправной деятельности со стороны лиц и организаций, связанных с Московским Патриархатом".

Perhaps peacefully, there can be provided legitimate ways to express their condemnation of the facts of illegal activity on the part of individuals and entities associated with the Moscow Patriarchate. "

Конечно, пребывание УПЦ МП на Украине и полная зависимость её от Москвы, сегодня уже выглядит неестественно и даже уродливо.

Of course, the stay of the UOC-MP in Ukraine and its complete dependence on Moscow, now looks unnatural and even ugly.

Но, для того, чтобы предоставить УПЦ КП автокефалию, Константинопольскому Патриарху для начала надо установить с Патриархом Филаретом евхаристическое общение, иначе невозможно.

But, in order to provide the UOC-KP with autocephaly, the Patriarch of Constantinople must first establish eucharistic communion with Patriarch Filaret, otherwise it is impossible.

А этого нет и, судя по всему, пока не предвидится.

And this is not and, apparently, is not yet expected.

Поэтому, Патриарх Филарет, при всей симпатии или не симпатии к нему, не может по церковным правилам просить автокефалии у Вселенского Патриархата.

Therefore, UOC-Kiev, Patriarch Filaret, even with all or any sympathy or lacking sympathy for him, he can not, according to church rules/canons, ask for autocephaly from the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

В то же время УПЦ МП (или Митрополия Московского Патриархата в Украине)есть часть Московского Патриархата, Митрополит Онуфрий постоянный член Синода МП, все архиереи – члены Собора МП.

At the same time, the UOC-MP (or theMetropolitanate of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine)is part of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Onufry is a permanent member of the Synod of the MP, all its bishops are members of the MP Council.

Главой УПЦ МП является не Константинопольский Патриарх, а Патриарх Кирилл, Синод и Собор МП.

 The head of the UOC-MP is not the Patriarch of Constantinople, but MP in Moscow, Patriarch Kirill, his Synod and his MP Council.

И именно у них, и только УПЦ МП как организация (исключая УПЦ КП), имеет каноническое право просить автокефалию.

And it is they, and only the UOC MP as an organization (excluding the UOC-KP), has the canonical right to ask for autocephaly.

Они и с Константинопольским Патриархатом в полном общении.

They are with the Constantinople Patriarchate in full communion.

Но, не просит, а наоборот, против.

But, does not ask, but on the contrary, is against.

Однако, зная склонность к авантюризму Константинополя, помня его хулиганские действия в начале прошлого века, когда он самовольно, пользуясь тяжелейшим положением Поместной Российской Церкви, предоставил автокефалию Польской Церкви и автономию Финляндской Церкви (бывших частями РПЦ), вопреки желанию законного священноначалия.

 However, knowing the propensity for the adventurism of Constantinople, remembering his hooliganism at the beginning of the last century, when the Constantinople Church,  arbitrarily, using the hardest position of the Local Russian Church, granted autocephaly to the Polish Church and the autonomy of the Finnish Church (formerly parts of the Russian Orthodox Church), contrary to the desire of a legitimate hierarchy.

Патриарх Тихон этими неканоническими действиями возмущался, но сделать ничего не мог.

Patriarch Tikhon was indignant with these noncanonical actions, but he could do nothing.

Так что, и сейчас от Константинополя можно ожидать всего, что угодно.

So, and now from Constantinople we can expect anything, anything.

По букве, в этих разбирательствах права Москва.

According to the letter, in these proceedings the rights/authority  belong to  Moscow.

Но, сейчас все церковные вопросы на Украине полностью перешли в область политики, поэтому возможно всё – здесь давно уже "книгу правил поцеловали, и поставили на дальнюю полку".

But, now all church issues in Ukraine have completely passed into the political sphere, so everything is possible - for a long time already "the book of rules/canons was kissed, ......and then put on a distant forgotten shelf."

Слава Богу, РПЦЗ к этому не имеет никакого отношения, для нас Московская Патриархия и Киевская мало чем друг от друга отличаются.

Thank God, the ROCA has nothing to do with this, for us the Moscow Patriarchate and the Kyivan Patriarchate differ little from each other.

И та, и другая, поражены ересью экуменизма и сергианства.

Both are both struck by the heresy of ecumenism and Sergianism.

 Печально всё это.It's sad all this.Как в Российской Федерации ныне строится подобие "СССР-Россия", так и в Украине пытаются строить подобие независимой "СССР-Украина" – это очевидно.

As in the Russian Federation the similarity of the "USSR-Russia" is now being built, and in Ukraine they try to build a semblance of an independent "USSR-Ukraine" - this is obvious.

Одинаковые лица у современных лидеров – что в Москве, что в Киеве, что у прошлых советских партийцев – тот же поддельный задор и безудержный напор пропаганды.

The same faces of modern leaders - that in Moscow, that in Kiev, that the past Soviet party members - the same fake fervor and unrestrained pressure of propaganda.

Только одни говорят на русском языке, а другие – на украинском.

Only some speak Russian, others speak Ukrainian.

Получится у них, или не получится, в итоге, возродить СССР в отдельно взятых бывших республиках, посмотрим – церковь, как госидеология для строительства, есть и готова поддержать.

It turns out they have to,  or will not, in the end, to revive the USSR in separate former republics, let's see - the church as a state ideology for construction is and is ready to support.

Дай Бог, конечно, чтобы не получилось.

God grant, of course, that it will not happen.

Православная Церковь в наши дни уже не может быть государственной структурой, эпоха православных императоров ушла навсегда.

The Orthodox Church today can no longer be a state structure, the era of Orthodox emperors has gone forever.

Церкви сегодня жизненно неважен статус в государстве – автокефальная ли она, или автономная, или гонимая.

Church today is vital, to the state, in its status/use to the state - whether it is autocephalous, or autonomous, or persecuted.

Она "едина Святая, Соборная и Апостольская".

She "is one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic."

Главное, чтобы посреди был Христос, а ставит ли свечки президент – второстепенно.

The main thing is that Christ should be at the center, and whether the president lights candles in church or not, - is secondary.
