GOC Pastoral Visit to Poland:

В связи с приглашением верующих ИПЦ Греции в Польше, Преосвященнейший епископ Гардикийский Климис, как представитель Священного Синода, совершил свой первый пасторский визит в Польшу и в Епископию ИПЦ Греции в Моравии ( Чешская республика, Словакия и Польша).

 In connection with the invitation of the believers of the Greek GOC in Poland, His Grace Bishop Clement of Gardeskiy, as representative of the Holy Synod, made his first pastoral visit to Poland and the Episcopate of the Greek GOC  in Moravia (Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland).

 Гергием Гианос в качестве переводчика, а также иподиаконом Кристо Катсудисом, 18/04 - 1.05-2018 г. после полудня во вторник, вылетили самолетом в Варшаву, а оттуда автомобилем пропутешествовали достаточно долгое время на восток в район, расположенный недалеко от Белорусии.

Fr. Gergius Gianos as an interpreter, as well as subdeacon Christo Katsudis, 18/04 - 1.05-2018, after noon on Tuesday, flew by plane to Warsaw, and from there the car traveled quite a long time east to the area of eastern Poland near Byelorussia.

Сначала, в среду 19.04/ 2.05, был сделан визит в приход паствы ИПЦ Греции недалеко от населенного района, где жилой дом переоборудовали под храм Святых апостолов Петра и Павла, и были даны инструкции по его устроению.

First, on Wednesday 19.04 / 2.05, a visit was made to the parish of the Greek GOC near the populated area, where an apartment house was converted into a church dedicated to the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and instructions were given for its arrangement.

Во вторую половину дня гости побывали в лесном районе, где была построена маленькая церковь, внешним видом похожая на "полукатакомбную", для обслуживания немногих из паствы этого района.

 In the second half of the day, the guests visited a forested area, where a small church was built, resembling a hidden "half-catacomb" church, to serve a few of the flock of the area.

Храм назван в честь святого Серафима Загорского, освященного в честь исповедника священослужителя катакомбной церкви, украшенного дарами Святого Духа.

The temple is named after St. Seraphim of Zagorski, consecrated in honor of the confessor of a priest of the catacomb church, who was decorated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Вокруг храма расположено жилье для дьякона и для гостей храма.

 Next to the temple there is a dwelling for the deacon and for the guests of the temple.

Далее, Блаженнейший епископ Гардийский Климис совершил освящение храма при участии преподобного о.

Further, His Beatitude Bishop Klement of Gardeskiy,  consecrated the temple with the participation of,

Георгия Гианос, пресвитера Владимира Моксорита из Словакии, который служит на этом приходе для паствы Польши.

Fr. George Gianos, and the Presbyter Vladimir Moksorita from Slovakia, who also serves in this parish for the GOC flock of Poland.

После этого Блаженейший Калинис отслужил Последование Повечерия и Утрени в соответствии со славянским типиконом.

After that, the Blessed Clement celebrated the completion of the Compline and the Matins in accordance with the Slavic Typicon.

Пропели Славословие и Последование местному святому Мученику младенцу Гавриилу, который был убит в 1690 году в возрасте всего 6(!) лет, нетленные мощи которого стали источником чудотворения и благословения для всего региона.

They sang the Glorification to the local Holy Martyr, the Baby Gabriel, who was killed in 1690 at the age of only 6 (!) Years, whose incorrupt  relics, of which became the source of miracles and blessings for the whole region.

Утром в четверг 20.04/3.05-2018 года Преосвященнищий епископ Гардикийский Климис совершил Торжественную Литургию вместе с вышеупомянутыми священниками.

 On the morning of Thursday, 20.04 / 3.05-2018, the Most Reverend Bishop Clement  of Gardeskiy, celebrated the Liturgy together with the above-mentioned priests.

Перед началом Блаженнейший рукополижил чтеца Кристофера, для помощи приходу.

Before the beginning,  His Beatitude, tonsured a reader, Christopher,  to help the parish.

В связи с рукоположением чтеца, Его Преосвященство Климис выразил надежду, что новый чтец будет пользоваться всестороней любовью и поддержкой на приходе.

 In connection with the tonsuring of the reader, His Eminence Clement expressed the hope that the new reader will enjoy all-around love and support in the parish.

Преподобный о.Reverend Fr.Владимир выразил благодарность Архиерейскому Синоду за родительскую поддержку в лице Преосвященнейшего епископа Гардикийского Климоса.

The Reverend Father Vladimir expressed his gratitude to the Synod of Bishops for their parental support in the person of His Grace Bishop Clement of Gardeskiy.


Затем последовала трапеза со всеми присуствующими, после трапезы Преосвященнейший Климис предложил пастве задать вопросы, которые их интересуют, а также провел катехизаторскую беседу с теми, кто готовился к крещению.

Then a trapeza meal followed with all the essentials, and after the meal, His Grace Clement suggested to the flock, that they ask him questions that interested them, and also he held a catechism conversation with those who were preparing for baptism.

Во второй половине дня была повторная встреча с "полукатакомбниками", что принесло большое утешение верующим, которые в основном задавали вопросы по проблемам строительства.

In the second half of the day there was a repeated meeting with these "semi-catacomniks", which brought great comfort to the believers, who mostly asked questions about the problems of construction.

В пятницу утром 21.04/4.05 -2018 г. состоялось посещение женского Монастыря Пресвятой Богородицы и церкви в с.

On Friday morning, 21.04 / 4.05 -2018, a visit was made to the women's monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the church in the village.

Зверки, месте рождения святого мученика младенца Гавриила, к югу от Белостока, и паломничество к благоуханным нетленным мощам святого младенца мученика, которые хранятся в этом месте.

Zaverky, was visited, the birthplace of the Holy Martyr, the infant Gabriel, south of Bialystok, and this was a pilgrimage to the fragrant, uncorrupted relics of the holy martyr baby that are kept in this place.

Это был чудесный духовный опыт.

 It was a wonderful spiritual experience.


В паломничество было включено посещение места, где были найдены мощи святого младенца Гавриила, куда палач иудей, из страха перед вероятной опасностью нападения вероломных униатов на православных христиан этой местности, закопал останки святого младенца мученика в лесу, недалеко от деревни, чтобы скрыть следы его кровавой работы.

(This official widely believed account of those past tragic events, in 1690 AD, is recorded in the Life/Vita  of this Holy Martyr- which particular details are disputed by some to this day, -i.e. as to who killed the child and why, etc.):
Rd. Daniel:
 The pilgrimage included a visit to the place where the relics of the holy baby Gabriel were first found, where the Jewish executioner, for fear of the probable danger of being the blamed-cause of  the attack of the  treacherous Uniates against the Orthodox Christians in the area, buried the remains of  the  holy martyr child in a forest, near the village, to hide the traces of his bloody work.

Но Бог совершил чудо, сохранил и прославил мощи младенца мученика Гавриила.После этого Блаженнейший Климис отправился на местное кладбище для совершения Трисвятого на гробе усопшего Павла, который преставился около трех лет назад.

But God accomplished a miracle, and He preserved and glorified the relics of the infant, The Martyr Gabriel. After that, His Beatitude Clement went to the local cemetery for the Trisagion on the grave of the deceased Paul, who reposed about three years ago.

Он переселился в жилище предков, и как они, упокоился в ревностной вере, укреплявшей, утешающий и поддерживающей его.

Bishop Clement  said about the departed Paul:  "He has moved to the dwelling place  of his ancestors, and like them, he has reposed in his  zealous faith, that strengthened, comforted and supported him in his earthly life."

Наконец в полдень того же дня Преосвященнейщий епископ Гардикийский Климис отправился с сопровождающими его лицами в Варшаву, откуда улетел в Грецию, в его хранимое Богом Отечество с очень хорошими впечатлениями и пожеланием, чтобы Господь укрепил и увеличил паству ИПЦ Греции в Польше.

 Finally, at noon on the same day, His Grace Bishop  Clement went with his entourage to Warsaw, from where he flew back to Greece, to his God-preserved Fatherland with very good impressions and a wish that the Lord will strengthen and increase and prosper the congregation of the Greek GOC in Poland.
