And would local building codes allow this?
But, perhaps, a regular stud-built house would be adequate and cheaper?
(How much, ALONE, would two shipping containers cost, and their being moved to the site, etc.)
-as anyway, in this one,
beautiful and strong as the finished home looks, the interior has had
built inside it, wooden stud framing, & more regular insulation
and a wooden wall installation, anyway.
Also too, this one is clearly
being built by a knowledgeable construction person, and with his varied
professional skills and tools,
and lots of money.

Tennessee, outside city limits, has few restrictions, tiny homes are allowed, for example. There needs to be a minimum .67 acre per residence. Electric company will not bring electricity to a residence that does not have a septic system in place or under construction. (But, you can get around that by going solar.) Land is still cheap, but to make the improvements (road, well, utilities) it is usually more expensive than buying something already built.
ReplyDeleteExcellent job opportunities here, and very low taxes. I would be very happy to help anyone (ROCA) move into the area. ROCA will have a parish here in the Nashville area, before too long. With a priest.
