Dan Everiss <oregdan@hotmail.com> Tue, Apr 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM Reply | Reply to all | Forward | Print | Delete | Show original My brief comment: Well, the issue of women 'participating more'...than they do already [and how could church life exist or even survive without our countless and often un-thanked devoted Orthodox women!, both lay-women and nuns and the wives of our married priests], is one set of issues and arguments....actually going on for centuries now. Virtually no parish...or diocese either, or any church charity or missionary effort,  could exist without its women members. If the Orthodox Church's membership  were only composed of men, it would have never had a chance to survive  even at its early years. But what I wonder about more, is regarding this coming catastrophy, this ecumenist organized robber council , this 'Pan-Orthodox Council' farce, to be held  in Crete soon: would women 'participating' in it, to any degree...insure.... a more traditionalist and more solidly an Orthodox  outcome? just because they are women? That in itself is an absurd assumption, if anyone may be thinking  it. Both men and women, these days, are either in the camp of the devout  and solidly patristically oriented Orthodox, or contrary-wise.... in the general grouping of the ecumenist/renovationist/apostasy camp. Many, in truth, in these terrible end times, are conflicted and very confused, and they have their feet and personal loyalties in both camps, usually unknowingly.  In our entire Orthodox history, many men...and women... have become martyrs, and great saints, ...and also many others, both men and women,  have become apostates, and infamous traitors. Some these days, indeed,...who consider themselves to be, Orthodox Christians,  are truly confused and ignorant of many doctrines of the Faith, [and often mislead by their modernist/ecumenist/Sergianist  clergy], and they hold-to,  personally,  to both traditional Orthodox views and practices... AND...also....to  modernist/ecumenist heresies. Sex does not matter in these issues, not at all. Both Adam ...and Eve...were in the Garden of Eden...and they were both ejected. Just my input. Rd.
