Ивана Богуна, произнесенной 29 января 2016 года, повторил утверждение (на видео на 49 секунде), что красная и белая Россия в одинаковой степени являются врагами Украины. То есть, по мнению Петра Порошенко, белое движение и, как следует из контекста этой лекции, вся историческая Россия, является для Украины врагом. Повторение ранее сделанного подобного утверждения, свидетельствует о том, что это положение является частью политической доктрины, принятой нынешней украинской властью. Такое заявление Президента Украины побуждает меня выразить свое принципиальное несогласие с этими словами. Невозможно утверждать, что только украинские националисты и те, кто воевал за Украину как отдельное самостоятельное государство, были патриотами Украины. Конечно, белые воины надеялись на восстановление государства в границах Российской империи, или в какой-то ее части. Но, это не означает, что Украина для них была чужда. Почти все белые воины были православными и воевали за восстановление, прежде всего, православного государства, каковой была Российская Империя. Обвинять людей в том, что они были православными и желали, чтобы государство было православным может только человек, далеко стоящий от святоотеческого православия и отвергающий значение православия в жизни и возрастании как многонациональной Российской Империи, так и Украины, как ее части. Конечно, наша Церковь, по слову святого Патриарха Тихона, не белая и не красная, а Святая, Соборная и Апостольская. Но исторически сложилось так, что Русская Зарубежная Церковь окормляла белых воинов, которые сражались и погибали за свою православную родину, и для многих из них этой родиной была Украина. Не занимаясь политикой, земная Церковь простиралась и состояла из верующих душ православных людей, воевавших за свое отечество. Они, эти белые воины, неотъемлемы от нас, и мы не можем от них отказаться, даже если бы этого желали. Утверждение о том, что белая Россия была врагом Украины для нашей Церкви неприемлемо. Published in the ROCA (Views: 7) Tags: ROCOR, Metropolitan Agafangel, Ukraine, Poroshenko Statement by the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia The President of Ukraine, Petr Poroshenko in his speech (as he called it – a lecture) at the Kiev Military Lyceum, named after  Ivan Bohun, delivered on January 29, 2016, reiterated his endorsement of the concept (in the video at T: 49 sec.), that 'Red' and 'White' Russia, alike, were/still is,  enemies of Ukraine. That is, in Poroshenko's opinion, the White Movement [i.e. the anti-communist] and – and therefore from the context of this lecture it ensues that  the entire historical Russia has been  an enemy to Ukraine. This is a repetition of a previously made statement of this sort, which  indicates that this particular claim represents part of a political doctrine , which has been adopted by the current Ukrainian government. Such a declaration by the President of Ukraine prompts me to express my fundamental disagreement with these words. It is impossible to claim that only the Ukrainian nationalists and those who fought for Ukraine to become a  separate independent state, were the only patriots of Ukraine. Of course, the 'white' soldiers had hoped to restore the [Ukrainian] state within the borders of the Russian Empire, or as in  some portion or status of it. But this does not mean that Ukraine was alien to them. Almost all of them were Orthodox Christians  and they fought for the restoration – above all – of the Orthodox state, what the Russian Empire was -or used to be. Accusing people, who were Orthodox Christians and who wanted that state [to remain]  Orthodox, can only be done by a person who stands far away from Patristic Orthodoxy and who rejects the value of Orthodoxy in the life and growth of, both the multinational Russian Empire and with Ukraine as a part of it. Of course, our Church – in the words of Patriarch Tikhon – is neither 'white' nor 'red', but Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. But historically, it so happened that the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, nurtured white soldiers who fought and died for their Orthodox Motherland, and for many this Motherland was Ukraine. Not engaging in politics, the earthly Church [ over many centuries and many lands],  has extended over – and is comprised of – the believing souls of Orthodox people who fought for their country. They – these 'white' warriors – are inseparable from us, and we cannot possibly reject them, even if we wanted to. The allegation that  White Russia was an enemy to Ukraine is unacceptable for our Church.
