On this day, Holy and Great
Wednesday, Judas sold Our priceless Lord, [ indeed WE have!], for
thirty pieces of silver, [the passing worthless glittering riches of
this transient world, which none of us can hold on to], only a bit later
to give Him also his public false kiss of pretended love, his further
betrayal.
In
the garden with the soldiers, Judas in a loving tone of his voice,
addressed Our Lord, as he kissed Him, with: "Master!"...and Jesus
responded: "Friend!".
May we, who call ourselves His disciples, His friends, we who claim to be, Orthodox Christians, not do the same, as did Judas, but like the thief on the cross, may we in our daily lives, TRULY confess Him, so that we may be united with Him forever.
"Remember me, O Lord, when Thou comest into Thy kingdom!".
GLORY TO THY LONG-SUFFERING O LORD! GLORY TO THEE!
