Праздник Сретения Господня прошел в Маркопуло (Аттика, ИПЦ Греции) в одноименном храме.


 The Meeting of the Lord Feast was held in Markopoulo (Attica, Greece GOC) in the  temple dedicated to this same feast.


 Возглавил праздничные богослужения Митрополит Хризостом Аттикийский и Беотийский, ему помогало духовенство местной митрополии.


Leading  the festal divine service, was Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Attikiysky and Boeotian. He was helped by the local clergy of the Archdiocese.

Во время вечерней службы, после чина благословения хлебов, состоялся большой крестный ход с иконой Праздника, в сопровождении филармонического оркестра муниципалитета, с участием молодых девушек, одетых в национальные костюмы, и представителей местных органов власти и парламента Греции.

During the evening service, after the festal  loaves of bread were blessed, there was a big outdoor cross procession with the icon of the Feast, accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality, with the participation of young girls dressed in national costumes, and by representatives of the local authorities and of the Greek Parliament.

 

В сам день Праздника была отслужена Божественная литургия.

The very day of the Feast, the  Divine Liturgy was served.

В храме было много народу. The temple was crowded. Митрополит Хризостом произнес праздничную проповедь, в которой подчеркнул, что, среди прочего, нам необходимо приобрести добрые качества, присущие св.

Metropolitan Chrysostomos delivered the  festive sermon, in which he said that, among other things, we need to acquire the good qualities of St. Simeon....

 Симеону Богоприимцу, такие как терпение, покорность и справедливость.

 ... such as patience, humility and justice. Также владыка сообщил об анти-христианских и быстрых изменениях, происходящих в Греции.

The bishop also spoke about the  anti-Christian rapid changes taking place in Greece.
