Our dissenters have made another schism

The group of defrocked, but  formerly of our ROCOR: bishops: Andronicus, Sophronius and Irenaeus have split-gone into schism — with each other now. Unfortunately, those who consciously embark on the path of a split-schism/raskol, cannot stop.

02/01/2023 reply to Bishop Irenaeus Dear Bishop Irenaeus, The Canonization Commission has received your email. In it you report about the glorification that took place in the cause of the martyred Br. Joseph, which was performed in our Moscow parish of the Montreal Icon of the Mother of God, by the rector of that temple, Priest Anthony Syroeshkin. Frankly, we were surprised by this news.  It is known that Metropolitan  Anastassy for a long time refused to give his blessing for the glorification of new saints in the Church Abroad, since he believed that such glorifications could only be accomplished by the future hoped for fullness of the entire Russian Church, and not only by a small part of it, by the Russian Church Abroad alone.  But now, the glorification of this new saint is accomplished in one parish! If you knew about this glorification being prepared in the Foreign District, would it not be more correct of you to unite our efforts, instead of doing some strange parish glorification service? But there is another circumstance that prevents us from rejoicing at this news. It turns out that Priest Anthony was under a ban-forbidding him from serving, imposed on him by his ruling  Archbishop Sophrony, and yet you accepted him into your diocese without a canonical release letter, from his ruling Archbishop Sophrony.  We do not know all the circumstances, and in no way can we be judges in this case, however, the violation of the canons on your part is obvious. You have repeatedly reminded us of the Eucharistic communion bond between us.  In this case, your acceptance into your communion with a forbidden & under-ban cleric, and the extension of your diocesan  jurisdiction to include this parish  which belongs to Vladika Sophrony, are anti-canonical acts that inevitably have lead to this break in communion-raskol  between us, until you correct this situation. +Archbishop Andronicus +Bishop Andrey

У раскольников очередной раскол

Раскололась группа лишённых сана бывших епископов Андроника, Софрония и Иринея. К сожалению, ставшие сознательно на путь раскола, остановиться уже не могут.

Дорогой Владыка Ириней,

Комиссия по Канонизации получила Ваш имейл.

В нем Вы сообщаете о состоявшемся прославлении в лике мучеников Бр. Иосифа, которое было совершено в московском приходе Монреальской Иконы Божией Матери, настоятелем храма иереем Антонием Сыроешкиным.

Признаться, нас удивила эта новость. Известно, что митр. Анастасий в течение долгого времени отказывался дать благословение на прославление святых в Зарубежной Церкви, так как он считал, что прославление могло быть совершено только полнотой всей Русской Церкви, а не ее малой частью. Теперь же прославление нового святого совершается одним приходом!

Если Вы знали о готовящемся в Зарубежном Округе прославлении, не правильнее ли было бы с Вашей стороны объединить наши усилия, вместо того, чтобы совершать какое-то странное приходское прославление?

Но есть и еще одно обстоятельство, которое мешает нам радоваться этой новости. Оказалось, что иерей Антоний находится под запрещением, наложенным на него архиеп. Софронием, а Вы без отпускной грамоты приняли его в свою епархию. Мы не знаем всех обстоятельств, и никак не можем быть судьями в этом деле, однако, нарушение с Вашей стороны канонов очевидно.

Вы неоднократно напоминали о имеющемся между нами евхаристическом общении. В таком случае, принятие Вами в общение запрещенного клирика, распространение Вашей юрисдикции на приход Вл. Софрония – это неканонические деяния, которые неизбежно ведут за собой разрыв общения, до исправления Вами этого положения.
