English/Russian: FAREWELL To A Real Hero Of The Anti-Communist Cause & To Free His Beloved Russia from that curse: A HERO OF MANKIND: PETER NIKOLAEVICH KOLTYPIN has left this world-MEMORY ETERNAL! May He Rest With The Saints!-Our loss, but Heaven's gain. Time: Thu, 16 Feb 2023
AND, also MEMORY ETERNAL to my dear friend, PROFESSOR EUGENE LOVICH MAGEROVSKY , 1934-2009, whom I greatly miss, who worked, for much of his entire life, with his also anti-communist father, till his last breath on this earth, very closely with his old friend, Peter Koltypin, to fight the 2007 betrayal of our old free ROCOR to the Stalin founded in 1943, & still Kremlin controled, false Russian Church, The Uncanonical Communist-front, “Moscow Patriarchate” ..and to help organize our continued CANONICAL ROCOR lead by Our Vladyka Metropolitan Agafangel (Pashkovsky) formerly, before 2007, the ROCOR BISHOP OF UKRAINE ….who was the only sitting bishop… HE ALONE! of Met. Laurus Skurla’s Synod with his other duly consecrated bishops, of the old ROCOR Synod of Bishops, who in 2007, bravely rejected the despicable/big mistaken June of 2007 betrayal APOSTASY to Moscow, & thus Vladyka Agafangel alone, kept alive the CANONICALLY CONTINUED- THE VALID ORTHODOX EPISCOPATE OF THE OLD FREE ROCOR..blessed to exist by holy Patriarch Tihkon (Belavin).…till this very day..The betrayers, the apostates-Met. Laurus Skurla and his fellow bishops, by their apostasy/falling into heresy, i.e. SELLING OUT THEIR CHURCH TO GOD-HATING ATHIESTS, thereby…de facto LEFT! THE UNIVERSAL HOLY ORTHODOX CHURCH, while he alone STAYED SOLIDLY ORTHODOX & TOTALLY CANONICAL….his episcopate valid. It was my extreme pleasure and great honor to for about more than a year & a half, before Professor Eugene Lovich Magerovsky, in 2009, sadly left this world, to daily confer with him by our 2-3 times per day, daily phone conversations, and to do whatever I could to aid his on-going information gathering as to what I knew or learned afield what all was happening, via my computer, and my personal knowledge of various people and events, which he knew nothing of: MAY EUGENE MAGEROVSKY ALSO, with PETER KOLTYPIN, REST WITH THE SAINTS! — VECHNAYA PAMYAT! Both of them, could be best labeled as: “The salt of the earth!”, and “FOR WHOM THIS WORLD WAS NOT WORTHY!”..”THE NOBLES OF THE LAND”…WHO FAUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT…and who thus were attacked and slandered from many sides. P.S. Recently, dictator-genocidal mass butcher of Ukraine, mad Vladimir Putin surprisingly publically boasted that, he in making this 2007 re-union happen, ….. cost HIM! “OVER ONE BILLION DOLLARS!... TO ‘FINANCE’ i.e. PAY OFF FOR/BRIBE? ...THIS RE-UNION, (his personal patriotic project, in his power oriented mind) for it becoming finally a reality in June of 2007..HIS “GLORIOUS RE-UNION OF THE TWO BROKEN PARTS OF THE RUSSIAN CHURCH-And People”, ..”healing” & re-uniting them with the communist murderers of OlD Russia, the winners of the revolution!) the scattered around the world White-Russians in the diaspora with “THEIR Russian Motherland”..i..e. A present day “Russia” still today, not free, & under the depressing Communist-hangover regime of the Kremlin’s repressive dictatorial control. WHAT A “VICTORY”!-? We in the West need to do everything we can, to insure that the Ukrainians win this war against them- that they have every weapon they need, to free themselves, and to free the common oppressed Russian people…and the world, from this monster madman of our day, a second Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin combined, Vladimir Vladimirovitch Putin. And we in the West, must support President Zelensky and the Ukrainians, and not listen to nor repeat the Kremlin’s endless slanders against them. AND WE SHOULD NOT POST ANY ANTI-UKRAINE ARTICLES ON THE INTERNET, which echo the Kremlin’s propaganda. SHAME ON THOSE WHO DO THIS!, but think that they are intelligent sincere Orthodox Christians, or genuine American patriots either. Because…. IF!….. the Ukrainians lose this war,..which may indeed yet happen if we do not give them all the weapons they need, WE…in America especially, even Donald Trump, ALL WILL LOSE, AND ANYWAY FACE NUCLEAR WAR WITH PUTIN, or his successors, I say: “BETTER DEAD THAN RED!” if it comes to that. And IF Putin nukes us, and/or..also… Red China or North Korea, or Iran, etc…then they too will get wipped off this earth….What a happy thought for this Great Lent! We…all of humanity… just cannot live forever under the Kremlin’s constant demonic depressing threats to invade or to nuke us, if… we do not submit & bow to them and live AS THEIR SLAVES, in daily perpetual fear…as they continue to struggle, since 1917 onward, to take over the whole world for their anti-democratic, demonic anti-human, ANTI-GOD barbaric communist utopia, their in reality, HELL ON EARTH. “The most materially corrupt” government on earth is …NOT as super rich business man, Donald J. Trump mistakenly & REGRETABLY recently ignorantly blurted out, “Ukraine”…but that of the Kremlin’s, with other communist regimes, and the second one, is OUR!.... VERY LONG! MONEY-CORRUPTED, BLOATED AMERICAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, not the small under constant bombardment nation of the Ukrainians..who are fighting for their lives and for their country: SEND THEM THE FIGHTER JETS THEY NEED!!!!!..and nuclear missels, if Putin continues to threaten his use of them, against them. THAT WILL STOP THIS WAR, NOT GIVING IN TO PUTIN, i.e. insensitive arrogant Trump’s highhanded ill-conceived and non-caring dismissive DISRESPECTFUL “advice to the Ukrainians” ..as might an adult speak to naughty little children!...to : “Just sit down with Putin and make a deal with him!”..i.e. giving him part of all of their country??? (& we already know that Putin wants all of Ukraine..and then other bordering countries also..perhaps even all of Europe..and too, Alaska, etc. )…. WOULD WE IN AMERICA, WANT TO DO MAKE THE SAME “DEAL” WITH AN ENEMY, -GIVING AN ENEMY, PART OR ALL OF OUR AMERICA?..or OUR ALASKA?..so we are not nucked??? GLORY TO UKRAINE! And BLESS THEIR NOBLE & HONORABLE VOLODIMYR ZELENSKY-MAY GOD BLESS HIM! and his ..under enemy fire night and day, faithful dedicated & patriotic & self-less government helpers, & army. Zelensky has already purged his small government of its VERY FEW crooked members, -hangovers from their soviet past,-as all levels of the soviet bureaucracy was and still is VERY MATERIALLY CORRUPT- but have WE Americans done that house-cleaning in our ..many yeared LONG & DEEPLY-CORRUPTED BY BIG MONEY AND BIG WORLDY POWER, Washington DC?..HARDLY!..and in the Kremlin, or in all he lower levels of their endemically communist corrupt government and military in Russia today, who there, even any ONE of those rascals, IS NOT… A BIG CROOK, a KLEPTOCRAT?..while the mass of common rural Russians, & other ethnics, live daily under many levels of on-going depressing poverty and want. Those are Putin’s supply of cannon-fodder, to be sent to Ukraine to kill and be killed, as he values no human life…but his own…which is why, America must make sure Ukraine SOON! wins its war of survival against him..as that victory is for them, and for the common Russians, and FOR US ALL. If anyone near to Putin, really cares about “Russia”, they will find a way, to remove Putin, and thus stop his nuclear threats. .and thus also save Russia…and themselves & their families. God Save us! “Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus, COME QUICKLY!”

In memory of Petr Nikolayevich KOLTYPIN-VALLOVSKY
Автор: Митрополит Агафангел. Дата публикации: 17 февраля 2023. Категория: Авторская колонка.
On February 5, 2023, at the age of 90, Peter Nikolaevich Koltypin-Vallovskoy passed away to the Lord.
Petr Nikolaevich was born on September 27 in the town of Pancevo in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in the family of a hereditary nobleman Nikolai Evgenievich Koltypin. The father of the deceased, graduated from the Nikolaev Cadet Corps, participated in the White Movement as part of the 11th Izyum Hussar Regiment, was awarded the St. George Cross and was promoted to the rank of cornet. After the third wound in 1920, he was evacuated from the Crimea to Gallipoli, from where he arrived through Constantinople to the Kingdom of the Union of Artists, where he served as a bereator at the court of King Alexander I Karageorgievich. For exemplary service results, he was awarded one gold and two silver medals. Graduated from the Belgrade branch of the Foreign Higher Military Scientific Courses of General N.N. Golovin. Being an activist of the military organizations of the Russian Diaspora, as part of the RNSUV combat group of General A.V. Turkula twice crossed to the territory of the USSR to perform special tasks. With the beginning of the 2nd World War, he took an active part in the Russian Liberation Movement, joining the ranks of the Russian Security Corps, then served in the Headquarters of the head of the Reserve of the Cossack troops, General A.G. Shkuro, and in 1945 he was enrolled in the 2nd Infantry Division of the Armed Forces of the KONR under the command of General A.A. Vlasov. At the end of the war, he was captured by the Americans and was able to avoid extradition to the Soviets. After his release, he lived with his family in Munich, where he was an active member of the St. Andrew's Flag Union under the leadership of General P.V. Glazenap. As part of a group of Russian officers, he participated in negotiations with the American military command on the possible creation of Russian volunteer formations in the event of a military clash with the Soviet Union. In 1951 he moved with his family to the United States, where he continued his anti-Soviet activities and worked as an artist and icon painter.
Petr Nikolayevich was brought up by his father as a convinced anti-communist, devoted to the ideals of serving the Russian Imperial House and a faithful son of the Orthodox Church. In his youth, Petr Nikolayevich actively participated in the movement of Russian intelligence scouts and was included in the Russian delegation from the ORUR, representing National Russia at the World Scout Jamboree (rally), which was held in Austria in August 1951 and gathered 18,000 participants.
In the USA, one of the prominent figures of the Russian Monarchist Movement N.K. Globachev, who by that time had headed the cadres of the Russian Imperial Union-Order, attracted a large group of newly arrived youth into the ranks of the Imperials - the most active organization of Russian monarchists, who uncompromisingly fought against international communism and advocated the restoration of the Russian Orthodox Kingdom headed by the legitimate Sovereign from the House of Romanov. Among them was Petr Koltypin, who, with his characteristic energy, joined the activities of the organization. As a responsible task, he was entrusted with the publication of a new printed organ - the magazine "Imperial Banner".
In December 1953, a meeting of Russian monarchists was held in New York, at which the Permanent Conference of Russian monarchist figures was formed as a coordinating body, and Koltypin was also a member of the secretariat.
In March 1958, at the 1st All-Monarchist Congress, held in New York, the All-Russian Monarchist Front was formed in order to coordinate the actions of monarchist organizations. To manage the affairs of the Front, an Executive Bureau was elected, later renamed the Guiding Center, in which Petr Nikolayevich was invariably elected.
Petr Nikolayevich was an organizer and active participant in many bright political actions that had a wide resonance outside the Russian diaspora. We will note only some of them.
When Khrushchev visited the United States in September 1959, the Imperials hired a ship, on board of which a huge banner was unfurled with an inscription in Russian - "Out, bastard Khrushchev." The ship came very close to the ship on which Khrushchev arrived in New York, and he, seeing with what kind of greeting he was greeted, immediately left the deck. Several tens of thousands of leaflets were also printed in English, which denounced the Soviet leader as a criminal and executioner responsible for the deaths of thousands of people, both in Russia and abroad. With the help of proxies among the staff of the fashionable Walford Astoria hotel, printed anti-Soviet leaflets were planted in all the rooms where Khrushchev and his entourage were accommodated, which caused considerable commotion.
On November 7, 1967, on the 50th anniversary of the October Bolshevik coup, in New York, during a meeting of the UN General Assembly, a group of 12 Imperials led by Koltypin unfurled a huge banner on the balcony with the inscription - “Freedom of Russia! Down with Soviet slavery! This unprecedented action attracted much attention in the American press, and the New York Daily News, with a circulation of more than half a million copies, devoted a front page to the event. Among the important tasks, Koltypin considered it necessary to convey to the free world that Russia is the first victim of international communism, and not an aggressor. To this end, numerous conferences were held with the participation of the American public, various articles and announcements were placed in the American press, emphasizing that "the USSR is not Russia!" Koltypin also actively participated in American political life. So, in 1964, he joined the election campaign of the US Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater, Senator from Arizona, known for his sharply anti-communist views. In 1972, Peter Nikolayevich himself, the first American of Russian origin, ran for the House of Representatives from the state of Connecticut. And although victory was not achieved, important political experience was gained. In March 1968, Koltypin led a delegation of associates of the Imperial Union who arrived from the USA to Spain and, accompanying Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich, laid a wreath at the memorial in the Valley of the Fallen.
On September 22, 1976, a fateful event took place in Madrid - the marriage of Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and Prussian Prince Franz Wilhelm Hohenzollern, who, after converting to Orthodoxy, received the title of Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich from the Head of the Russian Imperial House. The wedding ceremony, which took place in the Greek Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called and the Great Martyr Dmitry of Thessalonica, was attended by the Heads of European dynasties, August persons and a large number of representatives of aristocratic families. First of all, it should be noted the ruling Spanish Monarch - King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia. Among the guests were also the Bulgarian Tsar Simeon II, the King of Italy Umberto II, the Albanian King Leka I. A large delegation of associates of the Russian Imperial Union-Order headed by P.N. Koltypin. The delegation included in advance Archbishop Nikon (Rklitsky) of Washington and Florida, who died unexpectedly three weeks before the celebration. Therefore, instead of the late Vladyka, the sacrament of the wedding was performed by Archbishop of Los Angeles and Southern California Anthony (Sinkevich).
On March 6, 1982, Petr Nikolayevich took part in the opening ceremony in London of a monument to the victims of the Yalta Agreement, by virtue of which, as a result of the criminal actions of the heads of government of England and the United States, millions of defenseless refugees who tried to escape from the communist regime were handed over to the Soviets for reprisal. A monument by sculptor Angella Connor, approved by the personal order of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, despite the protests of the British Foreign Office and the Soviet Embassy, was installed in Thurlow Square, opposite the Victoria and Albert Museum. The opening of the memorial took place with a large gathering of people, among the visitors there were many members of the English Parliament from the Conservative Party, the mayor of London, former Prime Minister of England Harold Wilson, prominent political and public figures, representatives of the Yugoslav, Latvian and Estonian organizations in London. Among the numerous Russian anti-communists were Bishop Constantine of Richmond and Britain, the administrator of the Diocese of the Russian Church Abroad, F.M. Yakimov - from the Corps of the Imperial Army and Navy, I.I. Bilibin - Head of the Camping Office of the Head of the Russian Imperial House and P.N. Koltypin - from the Russian Imperial Union-Order, whose address, printed in English, aroused great interest among the British politicians present.
In 1983, on the initiative of P.N. Koltypin, the Russian Imperial Union, the Canadian Monarchist League and the Society of Saint Constantine Equal to the Apostles (American Monarchist Society) organized an international monarchist forum, which was held in the format of a Conference at the University of New Hampshire from July 15 to 17. At the Conference, which brought together about one and a half hundred participants, in addition to Russian monarchists, there were supporters of monarchical rule of various nationalities, including Hawaiians and Persians. Greetings to this International Monarchist Congress were sent by the Head of the House of Romanov, Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, King Baudouin I of Belgium and his father King Leopold III, King Juan Carlos I of Spain, King Hussein of Jordan, Prince Rainier III of Monaco, Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg, King Simeon II of Bulgaria, King Mihai I of Romania, Head of the House of Habsburg Crown Prince Otto von Habsburg, Head of the Yugoslav Royal House Crown Prince Alexander II Karageorgievich, Maharaja of the Principality of Baroda Fatehsingrao Gaekwad II and Maharaja of the Principality of Dhrangadhra Megraji III. P.N. Koltypin also announced greetings to the participants of the Conference from the embassies of a number of monarchical states of Europe and Asia and monarchist organizations. The conference attracted a lot of attention from the media - radio stations, newspapers and magazines. Suffice it to say that in three days P.N. Koltypin gave nineteen interviews.
In 1988, the millennium of the Baptism of Russia was celebrated on a large scale in the Russian Diaspora. The main celebrations were held in the city of Jackson, New Jersey, on Vladimirskaya Gorka - in the presence of the Head of the Russian Imperial House H.I.V. Sovereign Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich and the August Family, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad Metropolitan Vitaly and members of the Synod of Bishops. The celebrations began on July 26 with the consecration of the memorial church of St. Vladimir in Jackson and attracted a huge number of people from all over the Russian diaspora. On July 29, a solemn banquet was held in honor of the namesake of Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich and at the same time in honor of the millennium of the Baptism of Rus', the 375th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty and the 50th anniversary of the Grand Duke's leadership of the Dynasty. The banquet, as well as the visit of the Grand Duke Family to the USA, was organized by the Russian Imperial Union-Order under the leadership of P.N. Koltypin. The banquet was attended by the August Family, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad and members of the Synod of Bishops, Prince Boris of Leiningensky with his wife, representatives of military and public organizations of the Russian Emigration and more than 300 guests.
In 1989, Petr Nikolayevich headed the Russian Foreign Expert Commission to investigate the fate of the remains of members of the Russian Imperial House, killed by the Bolsheviks in Yekaterinburg on July 17, 1918, which played an important role in studying this issue and hindered attempts to falsify evidence by the Russian investigating authorities.
In September 1991, P.N. Koltypin visited Russia for the first time to intensify the propaganda of the Monarchist ideology and coordinate the activities of the Imperial groups and departments, which by that time were already openly operating on the territory of the USSR. This was, without exaggeration, a significant event: the head of the organization of Russian monarchists, who advocated the restoration of Tsarist power and openly proclaimed international communism as their main and implacable enemy, arrived in their historical homeland, where the Soviet political regime had not yet been completely abolished. Koltypin gave one of the interviews right on Red Square, which was broadcast on central television.
The next visit to Russia, associated with a mournful event, took place in May 1992 - on the fortieth day of the death of Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich, whom Koltypin served faithfully for 40 years! Peter Nikolayevich took part in a memorial service at the Grand Duke's Tomb of the Peter and Paul Cathedral, after which he held a meeting with the Imperials of St. Petersburg. After returning to the United States, in hot pursuit, Koltypin, together with colleague Konstantin Derosier, prepared the publication of the mourning collection "Eternal Memory of His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich," in which the last days of the life of the Grand Duke and the mourning events associated with His burial.
The last time Koltypin flew to Russia in 1995 as part of a delegation of the Foreign Expert Commission - together with Prince. A.P. Shcherbatov and E.L. Magerovsky - at the invitation of the Government of the Russian Federation. On September 20, they made presentations in Moscow at the Government House at a meeting of the state commission established to study issues related to the study and reburial of the remains of the Russian Emperor Nicholas II and members of His Family. However, despite the rather cordial reception of foreign guests, fruitful cooperation between the two commissions did not work out, and both sides remained in their positions.
Pyotr Nikolaevich Koltypin was engaged in versatile patriotic activities in the broadest sense of the word, but he saw his main duty in serving the Russian Imperial House and personally to Sovereign Vladimir Kirillovich. His uncompromising and sacrificial service was marked by a sign with the monogram image of the Grand Duke of the 1st degree and the Imperial Order of St. Michael the Archangel.
In 2002, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the October Revolution, at the initiative of P.N. Koltypin, an Appeal to all Russian people was prepared, signed by 15 representatives of the Russian Diaspora. The text of the Appeal was printed in Russia in the amount of 10,000 leaflets, which were distributed in St. Petersburg.
In 2011, on the eve of the 400th anniversary of the calling of the Romanov Dynasty to the Kingdom, Koltypin, among the initiative group, signed a Memorandum to collect signatures in support of giving official status to the Russian Imperial House.
In 2019, through the efforts of Pyotr Nikolayevich, the collection “Imperial Russia – Aid to the USA and the World” was published in the United States in English, which was conceived for the 400th anniversary of the calling of the Romanov Dynasty to the Russian Throne. The main purpose of the collection was to overcome the often distorted view of the foreign policy of Imperial Russia, which is presented by ill-wishers in an aggressive and militant manner. The collection included historical studies by 14 authors devoted to the positive influence of the Russian Empire on world history during the reign of the Dynasty from the end of the 18th to the beginning of the 20th century inclusive, who completely coped with the task.
P.N. Koltypin worked as an aeronautical engineer for 35 years and held senior positions in the company of the famous aircraft designer Igor Sikorsky Avco Lycoming, which specialized in the production of gas turbine and piston engines for the military industry. He lived in a happy marriage with Anna Vasilievna, nee Potemkina, in which four children were born - two sons and two daughters.
Pyotr Nikolaevich was a representative of the last generation of Russian people who, through their parents, had a direct, uninterrupted close connection with pre-revolutionary Imperial Russia, its customs, society and culture.
Koltypin had no illusions about the ruling regime in the Russian Federation and always emphasized its fundamental difference from the historical National Russia. As a parishioner of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, he was a categorical opponent of unification with the Moscow Patriarchate, seeing in it a pseudo-church structure and an obedient instrument of the Communist regime and its current successors. Peter Nikolaevich actively participated in the church life of the Russian Diaspora. He was a participant in the 3rd, 4th and 5th All-Diaspora Councils. Koltypin was a member of the board of the Society of Zealots for the Memory of His Beatitude Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky), which was founded in 2004 to preserve the purity of the foundations of the Russian Church Abroad and oppose the course towards unification with the Moscow Patriarchate.
As a participant in the Fifth All-Diaspora Council, which took place in 2008, he made a significant contribution to the self-organization of that part of the clergy and laity who declared their rejection of the Act of Canonical Communion between the Russian Church Abroad and the Moscow Patriarchate, signed in May 2007, regarding it as an act of no canonical.
The long-term editor of the Russian monarchist newspaper Our Country, Nikolai Kazantsev, characterizing Koltypin on the occasion of his seventieth birthday, noted: “He set his sights on difficult tasks - and achieved his goal. An easy-going, sincere and cheerful person, how much open and generous feeling he has! It is enough to exchange two or three phrases with him on the phone to feel the reliability of his friendly shoulder. Dear Petr Nikolaevich! Let me thank You for everything that you have done and are doing for Historical Russia and the Russian white emigration... It becomes calmer and easier for me when I remember that You are in our trenches. I'm proud to have worked with you for decades." These words very accurately formulate what could be repeated by anyone who had the honor of knowing the deceased and was associated with him in the struggle for a common cause. As a friend and colleague of the late Alexander von Pinozi, who lives in Rome, said, “He was a guide for us!”
Throughout his life until the last day, Peter Nikolaevich steadily followed the slogan of the Imperials - Only what you do yourself will be done! and Only the dead have the right to rest! Eternal memory to the ardent Russian patriot, and may his soul rest in the villages of the righteous!
