In 1996, Bishop Gregory (Grabbe) presented Bishop Agafangel with a miter, in which on May 31, 1964, Bishop Philaret was consecrated as the third First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia at the Znamensky Cathedral Church in New York.
