The Swedish company has developed a microchip that can be implanted into a person's hand and loaded there with a COVID passport.
This was reported by APNews with reference to Metro on Friday, December 17.
In Sweden, Epicenter, a subdermal microchip company, has demonstrated an implant capable of storing a person's COVID passport information.
The company claims that the implanted chip will be able to read any device using the near field communication (NFC) protocol.
“Implants are a very versatile technology that can be used for a variety of purposes, and now it is very helpful to have your COVID passport“ at your fingertips ”at all times. If your phone runs out of power, the COVID passport will always be available, ”said company spokesman Hannes Sjoblad.
Sjoblad explained that the chips can be implanted either between the thumb and forefinger, or into the arm itself just above the wrist. The microchip itself is the size of a grain of rice.
Sjoblad claims that the implementation process is completely reversible, and next year experts will figure out what the microchips can still be used for.
According to the researcher of digital cultures Moa Petersen, at the moment in Sweden, about 6,000 people have already implanted a chip in their hand, but this does not mean that they all loaded their COVID passports there. The chips can store not only certificates, but also office documents, bus passes or gym membership.

Judging by the note that this microchip itself carries information about a person, without connecting to a database, it is indicated that additional information can be loaded into this chip, as needed (otherwise, why implant it if the content of the COVID passport is constantly changing ). Such, it turns out, is a mini-computer inside a person. In principle, there is nothing new here - such chips have been tested and introduced to animals since 2002, and since that time, “near field communication” (NFC) has been used to “read” them. Of course, this is far from the latest development in this area.

Wesley Clark: Tucker Carlson Wrong on Putin, Ukraine

Last week, Fox News host Tucker Carlson made the surprising claim that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was justified in mobilizing military forces to threaten Ukraine.
Carlson’s comments betrayed a growing fault line in the Republican Party and American democracy itself.
The host went on to say that the buildup on the Russian-Ukrainian border was really NATO's fault for "tormenting" Putin.
Carlson is not only wrong in his analysis, but his claims have no basis in fact or history.
When the Soviet Union broke up in 1991, newly independent Ukraine found itself with a nuclear arsenal on its territory.
In 1994, Ukraine gave up those weapons in return for legal assurances from Russia it would never threaten its territorial integrity or independence.
Ukrainian independence was quite an achievement. For hundreds of years, it has struggled with difficult neighbors and invaders, such as the Tatar hordes, an expansionist Russia under Empress Catherine the Great, and later the Soviet Union.
The Poles, Austrians, and Turks also were contending in the region and borders often shifted due to wars and dynastic successions.
Through it all, Ukraine maintained its distinct language and culture, eventually breaking up with czarist Russia to become a legally independent nation.
In 1922, under internal duress, it joined the USSR and went on to suffer under Stalin’s induced famine of the 1930s.
During World War II, the Ukraine witnessed a horrific loss of 17% of its population, the worst suffered by any nation.
In 1945, Ukraine was a founding member of the United Nations, and in 1991, was pleased when it finally regained legal and de facto independence.
The facts here are quite clear: Ukraine is not part of Russia and NATO has never threatened Russia.
Since the breakup of the Soviet Union, NATO was enlarged to provide stability in Eastern Europe.
The alliance sought to quiet the fears of nations formerly under the thumb of the Soviet Union who feared a resurgent Russia.
Those fears have been justified because Russia, especially under Putin, has been a near constant thorn for the Estonians, Latvians, Lithuanians, Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Hungarians, Slovenes, Croats, Romanians, Bulgarians, and Ukraine.
As early as 2000, on my first visit to Ukraine as NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Ukrainian ministers asked for my support for membership in the alliance.
The offer of membership never came. During the next decade, Ukrainians watched in dismay as next-door-neighbor Poland prospered inside the European Union and NATO.
Instead, Ukraine was racked by economic stagnation, political turmoil, and the emigration of its best and brightest.
There is no doubt NATO membership would have been Ukraine’s ticket to economic growth and political stability.
Putin, on the other hand, fears a democratic, stable, and prosperous Ukraine.
Such a neighbor would supercharge the Russian public's resentment of Putin’s autocratic kleptocracy.
And it is precisely for this reason that in 2014 Putin sent his special forces to shoot and kill protesters in Kiev.
He later illegally seized Crimea from Ukraine, sent in intelligence agents, and organized crime groups and undercover forces to foment a rebellion in Ukraine's east.
Using the uprising as a pretext, Putin then supported them with an invasion of Russian military forces.
Perhaps he thought Ukraine would be a pushover, but it has not proven to be the case.
For almost eight years, he has waged a war of cyberattacks, disinformation, subversion, and financial torment against Ukraine, all to no avail.
And today, he is buttressing his new threats with more than 100,000 Russian forces perched on the border.
While Ukraine struggles against these threats, it has persisted in a pro-Western orientation, democracy, and in seeking NATO membership.
One would think a Fox News host would applaud and champion the pro-American Ukrainians.
But Carlson has praised Putin before, and said that “for all his faults, [he] does not hate America” like liberals do.
Carlson's pro-Putin remarks reflect the decades-long effort of Russian intelligence services to penetrate the West, its media and institutions. Moscow has also developed a sophisticated propaganda machine, using traditional methods and the internet, to create the myth they are the “victim” in the international disputes while they have "shared values" with Western conservatives.
The success of these efforts is evident in Carlson’s false assertions about Russia and Ukraine, and they seem to reflect a split in the Republican Party itself.
There are many in the GOP who still see Putin, rightly, as a danger to America and our interests.
But there are a growing number, like Carlson, who are embracing Putin, despite his near dictatorial control of Russia and his brutish menacing of his neighbors.
America needs to reignite our long-held bipartisan approach of strengthening democracy globally, while rejecting nonsensical advocacy for authoritarian strongmen like Vladimir Putin.

Yes, Fr. John, our pre-2007 ROCOR did officially reject Sergianism, but what date I am not sure of. That should be found on internetsobor.org. After all, it was added earlier, to the ROCOR’s yearly pronounced anathemas of Sunday of Orthodoxy, at the start of the Great Lent, if I remember correctly.
For secular powers outside of the church, to place anyone in episcopal authority, and in contradiction of church canons, is in itself, therefore, a TERRIBLE IMPIOUS HERESEY. So to name such a heretical act like that, we have the name of the heretical-person who was complicit in this terrible violation of the internal sacred authority of the church, - with this heretic man’s name:
Sergius Stragorodsky….”Of THRICE CURSED MEMORY!” i.e. ”SERGIANISM” who is anathematized every year, forever…. as are those who follow him. He and they are outside of The Holy Church. Thus the entire Moscow Patriarchy is outside of the Holy Orthodox Church. In the next world they have their reward.

I simply, do not know if such testimony is fully true or not -though there are many other similar testimonies, but… we need to know of such spiritual … and physically harmfull or soul-dangerous -effects of these “vaccines” …from testimonies of those who actually are experiencing these harmful effects on them, both on their physical health, and upon their spiritual/mental states.
Should we “modern/enlightened/educated ” people just reject out-of-hand such testimonies? - NO!
Our modern “advanced/progressive” world, does not even… by-in- large, believe that God exists, let alone of the demonic powers. But we Orthodox Christians know of these things. Our saints tell us.
Therefore I share this… or try to… as it may be blocked from my attempted sharing of it…. by “violating community standards”….i.e. perhaps, by telling TOO MUCH OF THE FULL DIRTY TRUTH, about this entire pandemic/political three-ring circus, GLOBAL-LEFTIST-POWER GRAB, which is destroying our countries, our freedoms- including our religious freedoms, and our private lives…. and indeed, our mental health and our very souls too.
We know from the Lives Of The Saints, of the many endless ways and means that demonic powers can and do enter us, and take possession of our minds, our bodies, and our souls.
Jesus is accounted of many many exorcisms of such demons, as also by many countless saints through the ages.
“The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God!”, and the fool also thinks that there is no Devil either.
The spiritual rhealm is beyond our physical senses, but all around us: are good angels and bad demons, but to protect us,… as even seeing these frightful hideous gross monstrous beings can cause us to be deeply spiritually and mentally injured, God has set a protective invisible wall around most of us, most of the time, so that we cannot see the ever-present dreadful demons. BUT THEY ARE AROUND US! Only those who are stronger and more advanced in their spiritual growth…those who are closer to God and purer of heart, are allowed by God, to even see them.
For myself, I refuse all, of these “vaccines”, as I do not trust what is in them, nor do I feel that I need them either, FORCED ON ME BY A TRYANNICAL ANTI-CHRISTIAN GOD-HATING MARXIST-LEFTIST GOVERNMENT!, as for one issue, I did have Covid early on, and by prayer/GOD’S MERCIFUL HEALING HAND, and some CHEAP/EASY TO GET left-over, yet powerful Sulfa-anti-biotic pills, and mega-multi-vitamins, I beat it…. GOD HEALED ME. It was about an intense 2-3 week battle… I was very sick then. That battle tested my faith in God’s power, but HE CAME THROUGH!
Now we hear daily of more and more of those who did get vaccines, that anyway, they are developing Covid!... plus other serious ailments…. and dying. In Oregon here, this group is counted NOW-TODAY! as approximately 37% or more, of those who were vaccinnated, who are now counted among The “RE-INFECTED” …how is that even possible???... IF those vaccines are really so necessary and MUST BE TAKEN BY ALL!
Some are killed by them!
My local helper Christopher recently was clinically diagnosed with Covid, for which our local community clinic …actually!... to my surprise — as it is mocked by the medical/political establishment as “For animal diseases only!”…prescribed IVERMECTIN, “one pill for 5 days”, which… together with vitamins, and GOD’S MERCY/prayer, healed him quickly…. in a bit less than two weeks. Before the Ivermectin and vitamens, he was daily getting wsorse and worse.
Well, this is about all I can say.

P.S. This is NOT my advice ..or command!, to anyone, that they must NOT take any vaccine. Each person must decide for themselves if they take them or not. Some who have taken a vaccine, claim that it has helped them, others claim that it has hurt them. Others… in fact MANY… who got the Jab, are dead now, and cannot tell us anything.

At the age of 96, our dear Protodeacon Sergius Vsevolozhsky, a faithful son of the Church Abroad and Historical Russia, died.
Father Sergius was from an aristocratic family, was the grand-nephew of the famous adjutant general, Field Marshal Prince A.I. Baryatinsky, governor of the Caucasus and conqueror of the notorious Shamil. By the way, Father Sergius had a large reproduction of the famous painting depicting this important historical moment, which became the main event in the conquest of the Caucasus, and the capture of Shamil, on the wall of their living room.
A large number of Father Sergius's relatives went abroad with the White Army, but not all of them managed to leave. Part of the family, in the figurative expression of the villain Bela Kun: "Crimea is a bottle from which not a single counter-revolutionary will jump out", was savagely, brutally torn to pieces and shot in December 1920, along with several hundred innocent victims in Bagreevskaya estate, near Yalta. After the fall of Soviet power, a majestic Orthodox cross was erected at the site of the atrocity, and then, through the efforts of Father Sergius' cousin, Sergei Nikolaevich Maltsov, a chapel was built in honor of the Kursk-Root Icon, for the consecration of which, part of the family came from abroad.
Forty three years ago, in 1978, on the patronal feast day of the church of St. George The Great Martyr in Marseilles, the ever-memorable Archbishop Anthony elevated Father Sergius to the dignity and recognition of: “One of The Most Active Members of The Parish”, who, with his kindness, cheerfulness and sociability, with his wife Tatyana Nikolaevna and children, significantly revived not only the life of our church, but in general all of the Orthodox believers of the whole south of France. We remember that when the parish was going through serious difficulties and Vladyka Anthony was forced to remove the then parish rector, he placed on Father Sergius the difficult responsibility of safely preserving the church, which testified to the bishop's confidence in him.
After retirement, the Vsevolozhsky couple moved to Cannes, where, one might say, they fully showed themselves as praise-worthy workers in the church field. After the very long parish pasturship stay of the ever-memorable Father Igor Dulgov (later Archbishop Seraphim) in Cannes, it was necessary to have there in a leadership role, an also strong personality to continue his work, in his place, resulting in a "two-headed personality" working partnership of - Protodeacon Sergius and Matushka Tatiana, who together became the real father and mother of the parish and in general of all those who to this day, visit the temple, as newcomers in need of care. They gave to others so much strength, caring and love that they seemed to become akin in spirit, to those of us in this distant little spiritual corner of long lost old Russia. And we know how our faithful people who still remain here today, literally are now feeling orphaned.
At the same time, Father Sergius was involved in important activities in the neighboring city of Menton, being the long-term chairman of the Society of St. Anastasia, which takes care of the Sorrowful Church and the home for Russian Elderly, called the "Russian House", containing a rich museum with touching exhibits of St. George's crosses, other orders and other relics, remaining after the deaths of the White heroes. And all this, too, has now gone into the wrong hands ...
When the situation escalated to that point in Cannes, when all Soviet punks forcibly settled in the church house, those rough criminal types, who sometimes posed a danger to the noble and die-hard elderly & their spouses, the poor elderly people living there, were forced to leave Cannes and decided to end their days nearby with their daughter Xenia, and their son-in-law, Protodeacon Eugene and grandchildren, and so they moved to Lyon, where they merged into the life of our St. Nicholas Church and for several years continued their fruitful work here.
In 2015, Matushka Tatiana died prematurely and Father Sergius began to noticeably weakening and in his decline, though he from time to time still served, but pretty soon he was no longer physically able to continue to carry out the deacon's ministry. When his children brought him to church for communion, it was always a great joy for the parishioners who surrounded him with attention and love.
We express our heartfelt condolences to his children, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Eternal Memory to dear Father Protodeacon Sergius!
