With the blessing of the ruling bishop of the Chisinau diocese of the ROCOR, Archbishop George, on December 11-12, 2017, at the Resurrection Monastery, rector of which is His Grace Bishop Anfim, Basarabsky, vicar of the Chisinau diocese, a clergy and meeting of the clergy took place. On the eve of December 11, evening service and a monastic meal took place, after which a pastoral meeting was held in a brotherly atmosphere. The next day, December 12, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated, which was headed by His Eminence Archbishop George. During the Divine Liturgy at the time of the entrance with the Gospel, His Grace Archbishop George was elevated to the rank of hegumen by the order of the Synod of the ROCA, hieromonk Nicholas (Zavyalov). He also awarded Simeon Kaloyev with the golden cross-fostered cross, and Priest Alexander Prisakar awarded with a legguard. During the Liturgy, all the clergy of the diocese and the brothers of the monastery communed with the Most Pure Mysteries, the Holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. After the monastic meal, a pastoral meeting continued, at which questions were raised about the life of the ROCOR, the diocese, parishes, pastoral activities and spiritual life in the modern apostasy period.



On the same day in the evening, Archbishop George, Archbishop of Chisinau and Moldavia, after the All-Night Vigil on the Apostle Andrew the First-Called, at the Resurrection Monastery, performed the monastic vows in the monasticism of the novice John Radu with the name Paisii in honor of St. Nicholas the Great. Paisius Velichkovsky.
