Сегодня мы бы хотели рассказать о Спасо-Каменном монастыре, настоящей жемчужине русского зодчества.
Today we would like to talk about the Saviour-Kamenny Monastery, a real pearl of Russian architecture.
Основанный
в 1260 году на крохотном острове на Кубенском острове, он считается

Founded
in 1260 on a tiny island on Kubenskoye Island, it is considered one of

The
monastery has had a difficult history, it was built by Prince Gleb

Surging
waves strove to absorb the prince and his boyars' vessel, but at the
last moment on the horizon, appeared the rocky coast of the island.

When
the prince with his wards set foot on the ground, he was surprised by
the fact that on a tiny island, there huddled people.

его неоднократно страдали от пожаров, в годы советской власти в его
помещениях пытались организовывать колонию для несовершеннолетних,
разбирали стены на кирпич и даже пытались взрывать.
Its
walls have repeatedly suffered from fires, and during the Soviet er,a
in its premises they were trying to organize a 'colony' for minors, and
so they dismantled the walls to obtain the bricks, and they even
tried to blow it up.
Спустя годы, здания собора превратили в пункт приема свежей рыбы, поскольку ее добыча велась в озере в промышленных масштабах.
Over
the years, the building of the cathedral itself, was turned into a
collection point for fresh fish, since such a production was carried
out in the surrounding lake, on a large industrial scale.
Сегодня Спасо-Каменный монастырь возрождается и снова функционирует.
Today Saviour-Kamenny Monastery has been revived and is functioning again.
В основном восстановлением занимаются волонтеры, которые пытаются добиться государственной поддержки своей инициативы.
Mainly
the engagement in the restoration work, is being done by volunteers,
who are trying to encourage public support for their initiatives.
Спасо-Каменный
монастырь ныне действует, сюда начинают приезжать не только верующие,
но и туристы, облюбовавшие живописный уголок.
