6/19 January 2015 , On the day of the Theophany, after a serious illness, has  passed into eternity Monk Adrian  (Baleva) in the Old Calendar Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
Monk Adrian  was born on September 8, 1968.  As a young man, in the world he was named Romain, and  he loved monasticism. At first he became a novice in the Shablonsky Monastery of St. John the Baptist, and then was tonsured a monk with the name Adrian. In life's circumstances where it provides a path  for spiritual growth and builds the foundation of the human person,  Monk Adrian showed a great conscientiousness and integrity. He served God and neighbor, and with compassion, as  to him, it was the  natural thing so to do.  Monk Adrian daily cared for his spiritual brother - a monk Basil, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, and who from his youth was confined to a wheelchair.

Two years ago, Father Adrian became terminally ill with cancer. He accepted this last earthly test of the monastic, the test which was to prepare him for his entry to eternal life. Holding constant prayer, Adrian Monk continued with hot love to take care of his  first  task, his neighbor, and then to care about himself.

May the Gracious God forgive the sins, voluntary and involuntary of the newly departed monk Adrian, and give rest to his soul in His heavenly abode - where there is no pain, no sorrow, but life everlasting.
Memory Eternal!
