Reader Daniel "book review" of A History of ROCOR published by St. Nectarios Press.

I have almost finished reading that ROCOR history

This book is enlightening about the whole canonical history, of Russian Orthodoxy in North America....what we have inherited...........

About THE best compilation of the actual factual history of the past days of the N. American Metropolia [a.k.a 'OCA' since 1970], and ROCOR,(i.e., the whole process of it's uniting and then leaving and then reuniting, with the Church Abroad and it's dealings with the MP, etc.) is in the pages of this book.  When you read it, you will see that the multifarious information in it, is applicable and useful to MANY current church issues, MANY!

You may have read it, you may already have a copy of it, though it is long out of print and unavailable....except that I have 5 copies here.
Our Peter Koltypin asked me for a copy, which I sent him, and he has copied this text to share, and raves of it's importance.
My old friend, ________, says of it: it is the only and BEST present source, for this UNASSAILABLE accurate history....... (too bad it is not in Russian too, though a number of it's original  sources were in Russian and other languages)..

It is:

"A History Of The Russian Church Abroad 1917-1971
and the Events Leading to the American Metropolia's Autocephaly"
published by Boston monastery when they were with ROCOR,
via their Seattle, St. Nektarios Press.....

It is about 214 pages.

Years ago, when I was still in the OCA, after reading this book, I in good conscience could no longer remain in the OCA, but had to run to ROCOR.

And, nothing in this well-foot noted compilation, is still not of extreme value.
